Attractive and extremely secure
Am using this as a towel bar and it's very attractive and works perfectly. As others have mentioned, the clearance may be a bit tight if using for thick bath towels, but I'm using it for 2 hand towels and absolutely no problem with those. It also perfectly matches the Moen grab bar toilet tissue holder.A couple of installation tips:- If not securing to studs, the Securemount anchors do not come with this item and you will have to purchase them separately. They are easy to install, extremely secure and I recommend them highly if studs are not conveniently located. (Moan SMA1005CH securemount). They are sold individually and do not come in pairs so theoretically, you could mount one end of the bar on a stud, and use the Securemount anchor only on the other end. In actuality however, because the bar brackets are mounted on top of the Securemount anchors, if you only used the Securemount on one end, it would be visually noticeable.- Measure thrice because there is no room for error. Unlike normal towel bars, the bar and the brackets of this one, are a fixed distance and there is no wiggle room for error of bracket spacing.- For ease of working, once everything is measured, the brackets can be removed from the bar by loosening the set screws. This just makes it so much easier to maneuver the screws and screwdriver without having to try to angle everything around the bar and plate covers.

Very well made and nice looking as well. Great grab bar!
As we have gotten a little older, we were concerned about slipping in our shower. We did not want the "plain institutional' looking bars like one sees in hotels and when I saw this Moen I thought it was worth a try. I installed it today taking about 30 minutes, careful minutes because of our tile and used my own screws and inserts. The included screws are for stud installs only. And I was not sure what was behind my tile.In any case, the Moen secure mount method is well thought out and made things a little easier given so many areas to be able to place the screws. Once the backplates are in place you then attached the bar with set screws which I had my skepticism hat on about but once done, I am very pleased. I gave it a good pull and no movement (whew). Meanwhile, my wife loves the way it looks and the cushioned grips on the back side of the bar are an added plus. Glad I got this and will purchase another one for the other bathroom. Well done Moen!

Attractive and functional
This is a very sturdy hand rail, it's attractive, stylish, not so "hospital" in its appearance. There are rubber hand grips on the back so you get a firm grip. I love this handrail because of all these factors and because it's not a distraction from our tile. Very nice item.

Matches other accessories in remodeled bathroom.
Had this installed in walk-in shower. Looks awesome and feels very sturday. Helps to steady someone with poor balance.

High quality
I bought two sets of three different types of bars, including clever toilet paper holder-grab bar, in this series to install in both new bathrooms I'm building. Overall very happy with them. Grab bars are a good option - I plan to use them everywhere I would put a towel bar since they can do double duty. The quality is good and the chrome finish looks great. The base attachment allows screws from almost any point along the piece to go into your blocking, so it makes that part of installation easy, if you use that method. A couple of things about the design I would change are the size of the outer flanges and I would eliminate the "comfort grip" feature (padding on the back of the straight grab bars. Your thumbs make your grip secure and comfortable, not pieces of foam, so those are a gimmick that will wear out (predict they will eventually allow water damage and be impossible to replace) as well as being hard to clean. A smooth and structurally sound rail doesn't give the marketing department anything to brag about, but would be a better option. Because the flanges are the same size as the attachments, there is no good way to cover up rough tile edges. The best way to install them is right on top of your tile, but I didn't because I was using thin glass tiles (I don't plan to use that type of tile again) and the attempt to cut circles around the bases didn't go very well so my only option to cover up the ragged edge was a fat bead of colored caulking. If the flange was a bit wider than the base, there would have been margin for tile edges and clear caulk would not detract from the nice chrome finish.

4 Years and Still Looks New
We put this bar vertically at the entrance of the step-in shower during 2019 bathroom renovation. It still looks new and works great (with the indents in the back side) to steady me as I make that large step. The brushed finish matches all the new plumbing fixtures. Recently, my husband had a stroke and is having some difficulty elsewhere in the bathroom. I came back to get one that matches the one in the shower- and realized I had never left a review! I love it enough that I am getting 2 more.

Love these grab bars.
These bars are very stylish. Much nicer then the commercial bars. They are a little more trouble installing the set screws but when installed they look great!

Incompleta
La caja llegó rota y le faltaban los tornillos para instalar la barra 😞

when necessity can be stylish
My husband and I renovated two bathrooms in our new home. We figured we may as well install grab bars but hated the ones in big box stores: very institutional looking with visible screws, etc. Not exactly what we were looking for. Then, voila! I found these by Moen. Moen is my provider of choice of faucets, towel bars, toilet roll holders and their grab bars come in numerous finishes: chrome, brushed nickel, antique bronze, etc. Your shower stall can still be stylish but safe. Amazon had the best prices of online purchases.
