Review: Decent Price Good Hay - Not bad, a lot of longer pieces and leafy pieces which my bunny loves. Not bad a price for 1lb, I bought another brand from petsmart a week ago that she absolutely tears up, im already almost out of it and I've only started giving it to her a couple days ago. She likes this brand she's honestly not too picky when it comes to hay but she does have some that she likes more. I haven't had her for long I've only recently got her the week of July 4th so I've only tried 3 different brands of alfalfa hay. So far it's the petsmart brand she likes the most then this brand is 2nd and the brand her breeder gave me is 3rd she's like meh with that one. So far so good. If your bunny likes longer pieces and the leafy bits this is honestly perfect.

A: The hay that we offer is pesticide-free. We would like to add that a common misconception is that organic means pesticide-free, however, this is not the case at all. Organic does not mean pesticide-free and pesticide-free does not mean organic. Since the term organic is merely a marketing label that is arbitrary and the requirements vary widely from state to state, we don't want to restrict the tools available to us to preserve our farm's sustainability. We pride ourselves in using sustainable farming techniques such as using compost as fertilizer, grazing, crop rotations, testing our soils, and using one-pass tillage implements in order to minimize our farm's carbon emissions.

**Q: What is the best way to store the Alfalfa Hay?**
A: The best way to store Alfalfa Hay is to fold the flaps of the cardboard box over one another and put the box in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Airtight packaging is not recommended. Hay should be able to breathe to avoid molding or fermentation.

**Q: It it normal for the hay to feel extremly dry? I purchased a 1lb box ans compared to other hay that comes in a bag it is extremly dry.**

A: Dont feed it to your ferrets or adult bunnies. All adult bunnies come from baby bunnies. Alfalfa is imperative to Young rabbits.

Not bad, a lot of longer pieces and leafy pieces which my bunny loves. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Doesn't trigger my asthma like store bought hay

This is not cheap alfalfa hay, so I was dismayed at the size of the box when it arrived. I needn't have been as we are only now running out--after 8 weeks. They really pack it into the box, so you get more than you think (compared to the big box alfalfa hay). You definitely get value for your money. I am back today to get on the subscription plan because this stuff is just SO.MUCH.BETTER than store bought. The quality is excellent with the hay being very fresh. It's weed free, bright green, smells lovely and has no off odors, mildew or mold. I have terrible allergies (which are not made happy by a guinea pig in the house!), but this hay does not trigger my asthma like dusty, store bought alfalfa does. And while there are wisps and straggly bits of plant material, there is very little dust. We use a tiny, wooden hay rick contraption to hold the hay, keeping it both contained as well as out of the shavings and poop zone. [Seen on Amazon, search "andwe Hay Feeder Less Wasted Wooden Food Feeding Rack for Rabbit Guinea Pig Chinchilla - Standing Pet-self Feeding Hay Manager"] Dumpling free feeds as he needs to, and seems very happy with his new alfalfa supply.
