Lhari Pro Smokestop Filter Compatible with Blueair Pro M, Pro L, Pro XL Air Purifiers, Particle & Carbon Folding Filter, Dust, Pollen, Smoke Removal

I specifically bought my blue air air purifier because it had the option of using the smoke stop charcoal filters. They were expensive but I didn't care because I have multiple chemical sensitivities and chemicals, fragrances, smoke and even food smells make me sick. You can imagine how frustrated I was when Blue Air stopped making them. Thankfully I found these Lhari Pro Smokestop filters. These work just as good as the ingress I was getting from BlueAir at a fraction of the cost. I don't notice any offgasing when I change the filter.

Quality was identical to the original. Very solid construction. Didn't have the black prescreen which can easily be made and put on yourself such as polyster batting from Walmart. Polyester has a merv rating of 8.

This filter fits well, comes with the integrated carbon filter, and is made of cardboard paper (not plastic like the Original brand's filter). There is a noticeable difference in the way the machine sounds when on using this filter vs. the original. When using the original filter, the machine makes a consistent humming sound (white noise like) of differing intensities depending on the speed you set. With this filter, the sound is not as consistent and sounds a little "fluttery" if that makes any sense. This is not a horrible thing, but it is worth noting in case you use this as a white noise machine and you like a more consistent sound. The original brand filter also has a mesh like first layer that protects the HEPA medium from large dust particles. So I predict that this filter will need to be changed a bit more frequently as ALL dust particles will make their way to the HEPA medium.

Blue Air replacement was always unavailable. This is cheaper, works great, and I have no c/o's.

I had tried a different filter for Blueair PRO and it didn't fit the filter like the OEM. This one does and at half the cost. So far so good. Yes the OEM has studier plastic parts but once you take it out you are going to replace it so it is not worth spending more money for the plastic.

Not sure about these filters. Just received them they look ok. But i noticed they are set up backwards compared to the OEM filters. The normal way to insert the filter is with the white part on the inside and the black portion on the outside. But these are completely in reverse. Don't waste your time with these.

About 1/3 price of the official filter. Only downside so far is this one does not have a pre filter. So order one from somewhere else, and this would definitely elongate filter lifetime
