You still have to wear a cloth mask or medical procedure mask underneath. It doesn't fit on the face, around the nose and on the sides like a mask would. **Q: Do the buttons unbutton?** A: no they are not made to come off **Q: Does this meet minimum airline requirements of covering nose and mouth?** A: It does meet the requirements because it covers nose and mouth- but it will bring lots of attention lol **Q: What size is chain mask1? im petite so im worried if this will fit me** A: It is 9.4 inches long and 5.1 inches wide, with elastic adjustment straps. It should be fine for most people. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Very Nice For Cosplay *by D***A on Reviewed in the United States on December 8, 2021* Likes: I was very surprised how nice this face mask is. It's made of faux leather, very soft like hand gloves that keep your hands warm. The steam punk trinkets are actual metal. I thought they would be plastic but painted to look like metal. It's a size large so it fits the face well. Just like the picture...great for cosplay.Dislikes: It's very thick, hard to breathe while wearing. The straps aren't adjustable, they're tight around the head. If you wear glasses, you can't wear them in this mask. I bought this mask in hopes of using it as an outer covering to my real face mask underneath. But with the thickness of this mask and a cotton mask, you feel like you're suffocating. Still I love this mask.In summary...I do love this mask and plan to use it for other things. It won't work as an outer covering to your real face mask underneath. It is beautiful and that is why I gave it 5 stars, it's nicely made. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Quality Product... *by B***1 on Reviewed in the United States on September 22, 2023* Absolutely great product, fits comfortably, vented holes just above the nostrils allows breathing to be easy. Definitely an eye catcher, quality material... Would recommend to anyone interested, I plan to purchase a couple more for variety. Luckily y'all provide a large variety of styles. Thanks for a wonderful product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars It’s got a couple downsides, but pretty darn great! *by G***. on Reviewed in the United States on July 20, 2021* It’s definitely awesome, looks just like it should. Only complaints I have are that it has two straps, and this makes it a little awkward with long hair. It also has a relatively rock hard nose part which sort of squishes my big ol schnoz. Overall though, goes great with any steampunk or goth outfits! Not disappointed. Wouldn’t use as a COVID mask though, as it has ventilation holes. Spectacular for you steampunk/dystopian-Victorian era cosplayers! --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/231143405-bstangmen-women-steampunk-retro-gothic-leather-mask-halloween-cosplay-gears](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/231143405-bstangmen-women-steampunk-retro-gothic-leather-mask-halloween-cosplay-gears) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-11-07*
