Pluses: comes with both open and check-valve fittings. Check-valve prevents that slosh-back at the end of the pumping, a bit more efficient; but open fitting drains the line so it won't freeze (like mine did). Note that one buyer says to clean the float-rod often, before it sticks (on OR off).
