These are genuinely excellent, well priced & invaluable when cable chasing
I needed to get a pre-made / terminated CAT7 / ethernet cable with RJ45 connectors from a small room on the ground floor in a modern 4 bed detached to the loft, in order that I could fit a switch and then drop further cables from there down to other rooms in the house (including the ground floor but to the other side of the house).Believing the house to be fairly easy to be able to do this - i.e. get cables from floor to floor behind the walls - I was so wrong! So I also needed to use an endoscope / inspection camera as well - also bought here on Amazon UK for some really difficult parts of the job. This allowed me to see that where a rod dragging a cable through ended up wasn't always where I expected to be. The rods are very flexible indeed and are well made and each rod screws together to the next one and they are easy to move between close spaces. They do also try to straighten up - which can be a challenge because as they straighten up, they can often get caught up in corners or other obstructions - but that's unavoidable & was part of the reason I got an inspection / endoscope / boroscope camera (a Teslong NTS700) and together with it's WiFi (allowing me to stream what the camera was seeing to my phone & leave the camera in situ on one floor & go with my phone to the other floor I was pushing the cables to / from - an invaluable feature!). I also have the small version of this - so the 12" long rods & the 1m long ones - they're 100% compatible with each other and you can mix & match if needed. There's a hook included - also a life saver - I was able to use the camera and the rod with hook to find & then hook & pull the rod through an unreal gap between the wall through a void under the bath and then down to the kitchen from there. 100%.

Best bang for buck
I had a thorough look through at different options and if you're only likely to use this a handful of times for DIY jobs it is perfect balance of cost VS quality. I mainly used the lasso style connector on the end to pull through cables and this worked really well. The kit does include a hook, and magnetic connector end as well though. The rods have good flexibility. I bought these to make the job easier but in hindsight I don't think I actually would have been able to feed some of the wires at all without this tool. Definitely recommend these for the DIY'er.

Small neat piece of kit
I bought this in place of using plastic caping which is always a quick and easy way to fish through large voids. It’s a neat compact set that fits in my tool bag and is perfect for short pulls through tight spaces.

Very easy to use
Even for an a non-professional this tool is so easy to use. I put a tv on the wall with a new spur socket in a matter of minutes even dealing with batons.

Built quality could be better
Nice until it's not.. 3 of the rods bent which I suspect was a weak point on the rods really which is a shame because otherwise they're really good. Shame I could exhange/return because I was out if the return window

Good quality for the price
Rods seems to be good quality, my only complaint is one connection that is used to pull cables does not fit on the end of rods (female thread to small). For the price I paid I would recommend these rods.
