TerraSlateWaterproof & Tear-Resistant Copier Paper 8 MIL, A4 210 x 297 mm, White, (25 Sheets)

When I see a product like this I usually have low expectations for actual performance, but this was a surprise. The paper prints well in my Brother scanner/color laserjet. So that’s the first important thing. But it also does a good job of not getting destroyed when splashed with water. I figured it would just sort of not turn to mush, but the water rolls off of it. So for use cases where you don’t want to laminate something but do want it to be water resistant, this works great. Probably good for use in kitchens or environments where paper is likely to get wet, and you don’t want to have to laminate everything either because it’s time consuming or because a bunch of laminated sheets get really thick and hard to handle.

A bit pricey at $1.40/sheet ($35.00 for 25 sheets at time of review) but this is something that you would only use for a very special printing project. The paper feels like the kind of stuff they use to make fishing licenses. It's waterproof and tear-resistant, having a kind of plastic film over it. It printed nicely in my Xerox color laser printer without smudging or jamming. Make sure to set the paper type to something heavier than regular paper, like cardstock, when printing to it so that the printer will know how to handle it. I'm using it to make signs that have to be posted on windows and glass doors where they will need to remain for years. It really fits the purpose for that seeing that having used paper signs previously, only led to them being destroyed by beverage spills, weather, humidity, etc. My only complaint is the price per sheet but, then, everything has gone up crazy in price these past couple of years.

Terra Slate Paper is AMAZING! It has a lovely feel to it and is really nice to write on. It also prints beautifully with a laser printer. Don't let its beauty fool you into thinking it is delicate though... It is SO TOUGH!! It is truly waterproof and almost impossible to tear (even the regular weight paper is the same).In my photo is the insert that came with the paper - it is printed on the thinner, regular weight paper - the company even challenge you to try to rip it!I tried to rip it (quite hard too!) - you can see that although it did leave a crease, it did not rip at all!This extra thick paper (8 mil) is more designed for cover pages or times when you want a really nice heavyweight paper.. I was skeptical that it would be as heavy duty as listed but it truly is a cover weight paper...Another really fabulous application for this paper is a DIY style reusable notepad.It is the same style of paper used in popular brands of re-usable notebooks. You can write on it with any erasable ink pens and then just use a damp cloth to erase it completely. This Terra Slate paper holds up perfectly for this application...I am very impressed!

First, take note that this fine quality paper is not compatible with ink-jet printing as that depends on the absorption of moisture.If you have a color laser printer or copier, you might be amazed at the qualities of this weather-resistant paper. It has a wonderful rich and thick texture like it’s really made to last. We ordered a package for some small flyers posted in outdoor spaces and were delighted to find they remained in fine shape a week later in the outdoors.You may never have a need for this kind of paper, but if you’re looking for something that can really stand up to weather and the challenging condition of outdoors far better than ordinary paper, this is the solution.

First, my test: I cut a strip and wrote on the TerraSlate waterproof copy paper using four different types of pencils and pens. Then I let them dry for about half an hour, then I put the paper under the faucet and ran the water just long enough to get everything wet, then finally, I took a paper towel and wiped the writing. The gel pen was obviously the biggest loser. If you don't wipe the the water off, I believe the other three would be ok. Without a doubt, the permanent fine point Sharpie was the absolute winner.Now the reason I got this waterproof paper wasn't to put anything outside the rain. I wanted to make small notepads for my friends to have in their shower for whenever those brilliant ideas pop into their heads. As long as they don't put the notepad close to the spray of the water, I don't think there will be any problem for anyone to use a pencil or a pen in the shower with this waterproof notepad. I am so excited to start making my waterproof notebook gifts.

I tried multiple time to print notices on this paper and couldn’t get it to come out clear. I have a nice laser printer and I tried everything I could think of but it always turned out like the photo. Maybe I’m just not smart enough to figure it out?

I got this TerraSlate copy paper to make reusable worksheets/forms. Once I saw how easy it is to use, I also used it to print maps of the local area to keep in my truck in case of emergency.This waterproof - and incredibly durable - paper is much thicker than normal printer paper, but still worked just fine in my Brother HL-L3230CDW color laser printer.Sure, this paper is expensive per sheet - but how much money will I save over the months and years being able to reuse worksheets/forms, instead of having to print new ones out every single use?This TerraSlate paper should be a really good way to be more green by saving a TON of paper over time.My wife recently pointed out that this paper would be fantastic for outdoor signs (garage sales, birthday parties, etc.) and emergency contact forms to put in our wallets, as well.

Paper gives fantastic results from my Canon color laser printer; I just wish it didn't cost this much and you would get more in the package.
