After much deliberation and browsing through reviews (good and bad), I finally decided to give this moisturizer a shot! Since Aveeno discontinued the only makeup I ever used (their Positively Radiant tinted moisturizer with SPF 30), I needed to find at least a somewhat decent replacement. I knew it was going to be a tough search - Aveeno’s moisturizer was something I’ve been using since they first released it years ago, and it was the perfect daily product for my face. So when I came across this organic tinted moisturizer, I was skeptical. But you know what, after wearing it for three days, I’m honestly pleasantly surprised!I wanted to give it some time to see how my skin was going to react before I said anything, but since I’ve had no adverse effects, I think it’s safe to give this organic makeup a big thumbs up. It’s definitely not Aveeno, but for me, it’s a very close replacement (and cheaper)! It’s quite thin in texture and very watery, much more watery than Aveeno’s, so I would warn new users to be careful when they’re opening it. Definitely don’t want to just squirt it out, thinking it’s going to be a thicker consistency - you’ll have much more on your fingers than you bargained for! But I rather like the thin texture, it goes on smoothly and sinks right into my skin. (I tested it this morning - I swiped some on my cheeks without rubbing it, and within a few seconds it had noticeably been absorbed) If you have acne, scarring, prominent dark spots, or large pores, know that this isn’t going to cover any of that. It’s not a foundation or a BB cream, it’s just a light moisturizer with a tint. It is simply meant to even out tone and provide sun protection, and it does just that perfectly. With that being said, coverage is minimal. If you want to hide flaws, I would definitely recommend using this with either a primer and concealer or just going for a foundation. Personally, it helps cover my large pores, or at least detract from their size, just enough that I feel the need to wear it daily. Which is great because I’m SUPER lazy, hate taking too much time with makeup, and really don’t want to LOOK like I’m wearing makeup. I prefer a natural, no-make-up-make-up look, and this definitely hits the nail on the head. I slap some of this on, use a little blush, and viola! So if you’re like me and looking for something very light and simple, you might just love this stuff.One thing I wanted in my product was a bit of a shine. I’m a fan of the dewy look (Aveeno spoiled me) but all of the other tinted moisturizers I found were a lifeless matte. But someone commended this for offering a bit of a dewy look, and they were so right! I think matte makes me look dead, but a nice healthy shine gives me a lively glow and this has just enough shine to almost match Aveeno. If you want a matte look, avoid this. But if you want a slightly dewy finish, I definitely recommend it! (If you want a little more oomph, use NYX dewy setting spray - works like a charm)As for moisturizing, i would say that this wasn’t designed to replace your daily moisturizer. I still use my daily/nightly oil, which was the same way when I was using Aveeno. In the morning, after washing my face, I use some rose hip seed oil, let it sink in, and then put this on some 20-30 minutes after. I have no problems with acne doing this. I have very oily skin, but this doesn’t cause my skin to get worse (in fact, keeping it moisturized helps to control my skin). So whether you have oily or dry skin, I would definitely recommend you keep using your usual moisturizer along with this.While I’m still mourning the fact that Aveeno discontinued its absolutely amazing tinted moisturizer, I think I may have found a (hopefully) permanent and healthy replacement with this!

I had been struggling to find a foundation - it seems as my skin ages any sort of foundation just makes me look made up, including the lightest of mineral powders. And it seems everything turns orange on me (including other PF products like their air cushion foundation).This actually has more tint than I expected and provides a fair bit of coverage - but after applying it doesn't look like I'm wearing anything and doesn't oxidize to orange. Best of both worlds imho. Still look natural but better.It lessens the intensity, but won't conceal blemishes however - I still dab a concealer on spots - but it does a fantastic job of some blurring and overall just giving me a nicer more even complexion. I find after a I put on all my makeup it has settled in enough I don't need to set it with powder and on me anyway, offers that dewy, but not oily sheen I was looking for. It has a slight medicinal smell, but not unpleasant and it fades quickly.Haven't had any issue with it rubbing off on other things.I do wear a moisturizer underneath and found if I don't wait long enough for it to dry before using this product it balls up...doesn't mix well with the first layer I guess. I find for me it stays fairly well but I don't require all day wear. I do blot with rice paper when my face gets oily in the afternoon that seems to work well to get me through. I suspect some sort of setting powder might work well for others.
