I bought this to replace a plastic flag holder that snapped in high wind. I like the fact that the holder that mounts to the house is made of cast aluminum (??) rather than plastic. The rod that holds the flag is adjustable to accommodate both 3x5 and 4x6 flags easily. The sections screw together securely and I like the fact that the rings that hold the carabiner clips rotate freely to avoid the flag wrapping around itself. The carabiner clips themselves are a generous size so that clipping on a flag is a snap.There are three thumb screws to hold the pole in place securely. Over the past few weeks we have had high winds and the pole has held up well.

Assembled well. I only wish the sleeves/hooks would prevent the flag from wrapping over the pole in the SoCal winds. Regardless, I would purchase again.

This is a quality product! It is a much higher quality than you get from Home Depot!

Winds were at 10-20 miles per hour here in Massachusetts. I just had installed this new flag pole 2 hours ago. I looked out the window and seen the flag rolled around the pole (see pictures).UPDATE; I really think there's nothing out there yet that will prevent this from happening. I do have to admit, it seems to be Less of a problem now and seems to straighten itself out faster after it happens! I think those anti flag rolling devices really help! The pole and mounting bracket quality is very good. Oh, and yes, at the advice of other reviewers, I did not use the cheapo metal (and wrong tapered head type) mounting screws that in my opinion look like they will eventually rust . Instead, I used panhead stainless steel screws of the same size.
