Review: Best Coffee - This coffee is delicious! If you like strong coffee, this is the coffee you need!! Review: Expert Espresso Great, Expert Coffee...Not For Me - I love the Expert Espresso capsules, in fact, I think the Expert Espresso Intenso X2 (double) and single shot Espresso Intenso capsules are great, some of Lavazza's best. Also, Expert Espresso capsules work wonderfully in the Lavazza BLUE machines. What I don't like are the Expert Intenso (and Classico) "Coffee" capsules or "8 oz / 240 ml" coffee capsules. They are completely different from the Espresso capsules. The 8 oz Coffee capsule has a secret, namely it has instant coffee in it, and I just don't care for it. To be fair, I pulled a Lungo or large espresso shot with it, about 3 oz, but I still didn't like it. I didn't realize these were "Coffee" capsules, and that's probably why they tasted so bad. They tasted stale so I opened one up and there it was, instant coffee sitting on top of ground coffee combined. To make a long story short, I recommend all the Expert "Espresso" capsules, they are some of the best capsules for Lavazza Expert and BLUE machines, but I personally would avoid the "Coffee" capsules (unless you like instant coffee). ## Features - EXPERT INTENSO COFFEE: 36 single-serve capsules ideal for an 8 oz drip coffee preparation. - INTNESITY AND ROASTING: This bold dark roast offers a full-bodied taste. - BLEND: Made from Arabica and Robusta beans, this naturally caffeinated blend is sourced from Asia, Africa, and South America. - AROMATIC NOTES: Spice and smoke. - INGREDIENTS: Lavazza Expert Capsules contain only coffee, and are produced in facilities that exclusively make coffee. - EXCLUSIVELY FOR: Lavazza Expert Coffee Capsules are compatible with the Classy Plus Espresso and Coffee Machine. - EXPIRATION DATE: formatted as DD/MM/YY - BORN IN 1895: With over a century of coffee expertise, Lavazza continues its dedication to sustainably sourcing the highest quality coffee beans with innovation, passion, and expertise. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B08J8FB9HD | | Best Sellers Rank | #2,870 in Grocery & Gourmet Food ( See Top 100 in Grocery & Gourmet Food ) #116 in Single-Serve Coffee Capsules & Pods | | Brand | Lavazza | | Brand Name | Lavazza | | Branded Coffee Machine Insert Type | lavazza_expert | | Caffeine Content Description | Caffeinated | | Coffee Blend Name | Intenso Arabica & Robusta Blend | | Coffee Roast Level | Dark Roast | | Coffee Type | Coffee Machine Insert | | Container Type | Carton | | Customer Reviews | 4.0 out of 5 stars 213 Reviews | | Diet Type | Kosher | | Each Unit Count | 36 | | Flavor | Intenso Coffee | | Item Dimensions | 7.36 x 3.21 x 5.47 inches | | Item Form | Capsule | | Item Package Weight | 0.39 kg | | Item Type Name | Lavazza Expert Caffe' Gusto Intenso Capsules (36 Capsules) | | Item Volume | 300.14 fluid ounces | | Item Weight | 306 g | | Manufacturer | Lavazza | | Model Number | 1953001393 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Pieces | 36 | | Package Information | Carton | | Part Number | 1953001393 | | Region of Origin | Settimo Torinese, Italy | | Roast Level | Dark Roast | | Size | 36 Count (Pack of 1) | | Special Ingredients | Regular ingredient | | Specialty | Kosher Certified | | Sweetness Description | Not Sweet | | UPC | 041953005308 041953001409 | | Unit Count | 36 Count | | Variety | Expert | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Lavazza - **Caffeine Content Description:** Caffeinated - **Flavor:** Intenso Coffee - **Item Form:** Capsule - **Roast Level:** Dark Roast ## Images ![Lavazza Expert Intenso Coffee Capsules, Dark Roast, Arabica and Robusta Blend, Compatible with Lavazza Classy Plus Machine (36 Capsules) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61dMVqPVudL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size, Flavor** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Coffee *by I***R on May 27, 2026* This coffee is delicious! I tried several work arounds but it just made a mess. It’s a shame, I have an almost full box of coffee I cannot use. The description needs to be more clear that it ONLY FITS THEIR COFFEE MAKER 👎 ## Frequently Bought Together - Lavazza Expert Intenso Coffee Capsules, Dark Roast, Arabica and Robusta Blend, Compatible with Lavazza Classy Plus Machine (36 Capsules) - Lavazza Expert Espresso Ristretto Capsules, Extra Dark Roast, Arabica and Robusta Blend, Compatible with Lavazza Classy Machines (36 Capsules) - Lavazza Expert Coffee Classy Plus Single Serve ALL-IN-ONE Espresso & Coffee Brewer Machine - LB 400 - (Includes Built-in Milk Vessel/Frother) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/230552350-lavazza-expert-intenso-coffee-capsules-dark-roast-arabica-and-robusta](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/230552350-lavazza-expert-intenso-coffee-capsules-dark-roast-arabica-and-robusta) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-25*
