ETEKJOY RFID Electronic Cabinet Lock Hidden DIY for Wooden Cabinet Locker Drawer Cupboard Box with 5PCS IC Cards/Tags

I bought two of these. I mounted these inside a cedar hope chest. They work good for keeping things secure in a light duty kind of way. These won't stop real bad guys, but can secure a cabinet or drawers from prying or curious little ones and the honest adults. Two of them used together do a really good job. But it will only be as strong as the screws used to mount it and the surface its mounted to. I had no issue following the instructions and programming them both to the same cards. I've not had any issues with them opening or closing. The response is pretty good. These are reading the cards through 1/2" plywood with ease. I recommend this lock.

The lock is easy to setup. Installation is a little rough. Make sure you have it completely straight before you screw it down. I used the sticky pads that were supplied to get the mount right but when I screwed it down I found out the pin part was back a hair to far and it wouldn't lock. I moved it forward and it worked fine after that. I have another idea in my head of something I want to build so I'll probably be buying another one

Overall this comes across as a great little lock. However, it would be very helpful if there was a mounting template for everything since working from the inside of a compartment. Using the double sided tape on each piece helps, but it is still difficult - especially if there is material on the "door" side that will compress as the screws are tightened. I ended up having to reposistion everything because I made it too tight after the material compressed and it wouldn't lock. Overall, after figuring out the mounting, it works great. Seems sturdy and durable to prevent accidental opening of the cabinet. Hopefully the batteries last as long as advertised.

Has to be exactly straight lined up. If not it won't latch or will latch if you use fob and hold shut. I put sharpee on the pin and around female side. It scraped off where touching. Bought some more double sided tape gave it another shot and it works perfect.

Beyond that, this is a decent lock for keeping incidental lookyloos and kids out of your stuff. My cabinet has 1/2" mdf doors and it doesn't read through that. I tried it before install and I'm glad I did. I have a couple other projects I'm working on that I could use it for, but this one isn't it. 3 stars because product is good, but not as advertised

This locking mechanism is cheap for a reason!! This product may look nice and appealing but hands-down it is the worst thing I’ve ever ordered. The mechanism literally stopped working 30 minutes after it was installed. I even tried the administrative card which was created and worked fine right after installing. Thirty minutes later nothing worked. This resulted in me being forced to saw through the device to be able to remove the locking mechanism to get into the cabinet. In doing so this almost ruined the cabinet itself. Please seriously reconsider, think twice before you buy this as you will be disappointed.

Works great. I’ve had it for 4 years and have only changed the battery once. Very easy to program, and install. Heavy but not so heavy for t feels like it’s pulling against itself to come loose.

Very confusing instructions, zero mention of what app to use, no video instructions as stated in description. Impossible to use with the information given.

Do not buy at any cost even if they provide free Don't buy this product , Navkar person n product in pathetic , waste of time , energy and money ...... extremely worst product & service no manual , ones battery drain it stuck inside n u have to break the door ...... i have to to break my wardrobe because of this cheap lock ....
