it's not too bad though. Buy better tent stakes
The tent is everything it should be. Pops up quickly, and there is really nothing to set up. The hardest part is unzipping it. Putting it back in the bag is a different story. Once you get the trick down, it's not too bad though. Buy better tent stakes, the ones that come with this are too short to hold in a gust of wind. When stored the diameter of the tent is about 32--36 inches. I did not measure, but you can't put in on your pack and walk through a doorway without turning sideways. I would not recommend this for a person that intends on hiking to a campsite. The plus side is that it is only about 2 inches thick when stored. The worst part is that it is definitely not a two person tent. I am 5'9" and my feet and head touched when inside the tent at the widest part. I had enough room on each side to store my pack and that was about it. Technically, you could probably fit a full size person, and 2 midgets if you crammed in there, but who has two midgets to spare?

Best pop-up I've found for the price
My sons are 7 and 5 and I got this tent for them because I figured it would be nice to have a tent that is super easy to toss up for when they want to camp in the backyard.Pros:VERY easy to put up- just pull it out of the bag, remove the elastic band around it and let go. It pops open so fast, you would want to make sure no small children are directly around you! It has some small L stakes with it and it stakes down nicely with 7 stakes, one each for the front and back, then the 5 strings. Also pretty easy to take down. Sometimes these stiff wire deals can be difficult to wrestle into a flat state but this was very simple. It took me a few minutes to decipher the "ikea-like" directions the first time, but I can now go from up to flat in 30 seconds or so.Cons:The fabric is not as sturdy as any of my other tents and the seams aren't reinforced. I haven't had any tears yet but I'm a little worried about it so I've been trying to be a bit more careful with the zippers than I usually am. You definitely need to use both hands to zip or unzip for instance. The dimensions listed are a little misleading. I know it says "with inner tent" right after the dimensions are listed but the inner tents dimensions are just as important as the footprint, so I think they should probably list both. The inner tent size is more like 94"x57" with a very pronounced "egg" shape, My son wanted my to try putting our air mattress in there, which is 55x80 but it wouldn't fit.I didn't really even think about it since I wasn't sleeping in it, but my oldest son was a bit annoyed that there aren't any "windows" other than the main door in.Overall, I got basically what I wanted, which was speed and convenience. If I want to get them a tent with more comfort and durability, I'll spend more money next time.

For the price...
It was shipped from the seller in heavy brown paper which was ripped a bit, but the tent and carry pouch were ok. Delivered by UPS.It's a large blue disk that has two carry handles and two straps for carrying on your back. I see this more as a disk that fits in a car trunk. It pops open just like it shows in the diagram. comes with some metal stakes and strings. What the picture doesn't show is how the tent is constructed inside. The blue outer shell covers the inner mesh tent. This allows for lots of ventilation, but this is not a foul weather tent because of it. I would not want to deal with wind driven rain in this thing. The floor is black nylon, perhaps a little heavier material than the outer shell. The inner mesh tent has little pouches left and right for holding small items. There is a rear vent window and of course two zippers at the entrance with a bit of yellow overlapping nylon at the outer zipper.I think the tent is fully worth the money I paid for it. It's really just part of our earthquake emergency kit.If I were a camper/backpacker, I would look into high quality mountaineering tents from REI or Adventure-16.Taking the tent down is something I suggest you practice several times... it will be frustrating at first, but it really does go back into that carry pouch. My suggestion is to check YouTube for pop-up tent videos. Try to find ones from manufactures of higher grade pop-up tents. The same principals apply and watching someone do it is the best way to understand taking this tent down. The best one I found is:[...]Just copy the above link and it will take you right to the instruction video.

Too Difficult for one person
I bought this tent for my son for christmas. I thought it would be pretty easy to set up and take down because it is a pop up tent. He had used on before that my dad loaned to him that was a BLM pop up tent. I figured this one looked similar and he could put it up and take it down on his own. He needed on that required one person so he could set it up on his Boy scout camp out. Put up is easy you take it out of the bag and toss it and it pops up. However putting it up is not so easy. My son had it at the camp out and when it was time to pack up he had to have two grown adults help him fold it up and then they couldn't get it in the bag. So my son brought it home and his dad and grandpa (who is a pro at pop up tents) fought with it to get it back in the bag. It kept popping open and then wouldn't fold right.
