Super easy to get on the grille just need to adjust while putting it on but for the money and the size of it it’s worth it and it’s adds a lot look to my truck for sure 10/10

I'm writing this review for others looking to purchase. This is a high quality metal badge for your truck. It looks great, just like OEM. The factory badge removes easily by prying it off. There are locating pins on the factory model that protrude through the grill. On some trucks (like my 2016 1500) it may be necessary to cut off or squeeze the tabs on the back so they come out of the grill. Once that is done, just pry it off. You'll see GM uses sticky tape too. On my 2018 2500HD there are locating pins on the factory Z71 badge, but they are smaller than the holes they go through, so they just come right out. Once you gently pry the old badge off, put 3M double sided tape on the back of the new one, line it up, and press it on firmly. I can absolutely guarantee it won't come off. My last one survived an impact with a concrete wall at 60 mph thanks to some non driving idiot. Despite the near death experience for me, the Z71 badge stayed affixed perfectly to the grill. The point is, these are super easy to install. The clamp is not even necessary. Just some sticky tape and you're good.

The look and feel is spot on. The only thing I feel is a flaw is the mounting hardware. The emblem has 2 threaded areas for the screws. The problem is there is only one screw with only one hole for the screw in the bracket (exactly as pictured). I went to my junk bin and found a screw that had the same thread pattern and drilled the second hole into the bracket. I'm pretty sure that the one screw would have been sufficient but I didn't want the emblem to twist so that's my reasoning for using a second screw.

Overall I really liked the emblem once installed. My z71 Tahoe has a mesh grill which wouldn’t allow the “stick on” type emblem. However the threaded rod would not tighten into this emblem without significant help. There is no threads at all on the back of the emblem; just two “circle” locations that are worthless. There’s no depth to them so the threaded rod cannot tighten/bite into anything. Ended up gluing the threaded rod to the Z71 portion and tightening the nut from behind.

This emblem is nice but the mounting hardware is awful. They give maybe 1/8 inch of threads in the back of the emblem to thread the rod into and whenever you try and snug it they just pull out. They need to make the rod permanently attached to the emblem so it can actually be secured well onto the grille. Also i have had one before on my old grille that fell off a few times and over time got crusty was on there for maybe 4 years

Looks good But one screw isn’t enough to hold this tight. Need to make your own adjustments and add another screw.

I bought this for my husband and it’s been 2 years and they still are on there and color has not faded

Nice. Same size as factory. A little disappointed with the small bolt system. They barely screw in a full turn. Had to use some goop to hold it in place.
