Kimel Estate employs and houses 432 workers. The estate also provides education for the children and medical facilities for the workers and their families. The estate has implemented eco-friendly policies, such as recycling coffee pulp to use as organic fertilizer and recycling the water used during processing. The plantation is situated along the Kimel River, the farm's namesake, which provides clean water used in the farms processing.
