Review: Perfect storage bowls - I was a little leery after reading some of the reviews, but since I NEVER put lids like these in a dishwasher, I figured I'd take the risk. After almost 30 years I had to let my faithful old mixing/storage bowls go to the great beyond, and I put off buying new for almost a year. But this price was right, so I figured I'd give these a try. First of all, they are actually attractive. The colors are vibrant & pretty, so that was a surprise plus when I opened the box. Second, they are sturdy- more so than I anticipated. And third, all the complaints about the tops, well maybe I just got lucky, but all 5 of mine fit perfectly. Did take me a minute to figure out getting them off easily-- there's a designated spot around the edge for you to lift up. As I said, I wouldn't put these (or ANY) plastic lids in the dishwasher, so that's not a problem for me. I mean, seriously, it takes 20 seconds to wash a lid by hand. That all said, I think I'm going to order a second set because I like them that much.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: any body have problems put on the lid and stay close?**
A: It takes a bit to put it on, but once on seems to stay nice and tight.  I really like these bowls but don't recommend putting lids in the dishwasher.

**Q: are these sturdy enough to be used as mixing bowls or are they better as storage bowls?**
A: I would use an electric hand mixer, but yes you could use them as mixing bowls.

**Q: How can I restore the lead once it has been microwaved it got all bent up?**
A: I would put it in the sink with very hot water let it sit for a while and see if you can bend it back into shape

**Q: Can you freeze food in them?**
A: I did not like frozen foods kept in the container. They are not airtight therefore anything over a day or two is freezer burned.

After almost 30 years I had to let my faithful old mixing/storage bowls go to the great beyond, and I put off buying new for almost a year. But this price was right, so I figured I'd give these a try. First of all, they are actually attractive. The colors are vibrant & pretty, so that was a surprise plus when I opened the box. Second, they are sturdy- more so than I anticipated. And third, all the complaints about the tops, well maybe I just got lucky, but all 5 of mine fit perfectly. Updating my original review. My first order did have a black mark on the purple lid, and the bottom of the green bowl was broken. I reached out to the company, and my oversight, they did reach out to me, I simply missed it. In the meantime Amazon came through and when I went to replace the first set, they took care of everything and sent me a 2nd set, which was perfect with no issues. My apologies to the company for overlooking their response. I really do like this set, and I am glad that all my bowls now look & work great. Due to the nesting, these bowls store easily, and the little "finger" notch helps you easily open each lid.
