In fact right after we purchased it, the price nearly doubled. This scale (pictured) did not have included the stainless steel bowl pictured as described with it, as we ordered. Aside from that, the scale has a nice well lit large display which is the positive on this scale. On the not-so-positive, the weigh pad area is recessed making it awkward for any other bowl or container that is less than the weigh pad area. The recessed weigh pad area is 3 1/4" in diameter. So any container larger than that, does NOT fit well on the pad. I guess that is why the company "says" it includes a stainless steel bowl sized for it, if you get one at all included(?). It is simple to operate with a tare button that also serves as a on/off button. The only other button is for type of unit, metric/imperial etc. If the weigh pad was flat and not recessed, like on most scales, this would be a very nice unit. At the price point it is at now, $31.00 dollars, we would not have ordered it. Value-wise even if it included a bowl (which ours did not) it would not be worth that price point. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Great but watch the price *by D***H on Reviewed in the United States on November 23, 2015* Bought the scale at a much much lower price and although the bowl was meant to be included it wasn't. Similar to the other review! The scales are fine, it was simpler to keep them than send back. Worth the money i paid but i would purchase these at the new advertised price of over $30. ### ⭐ One Star *by H***C on Reviewed in the United States on November 24, 2015* arrived without bowl --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/22996327-american-weigh-scales-digital-kitchen-scale-stainless-steel-5kg-x](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/22996327-american-weigh-scales-digital-kitchen-scale-stainless-steel-5kg-x) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
