Pat Your Pet Grooming Gloves - Cat & Dog Hair Remover Glove for Deshedding Long and Short Fur

I work for a mobile pet grooming service as a dog washer. I bought these gloves because my hands and cuticles were starting to dry and crack everytime they dried. I'm not expecting miracles, just something to protect my hands from all the constant wetting, drying, and animal muckiness.With that being said, my first impressions of the gloves are pretty much what I expected. Nothing spectacular, very hard labor chic. The rubber coating on the palms seems secure and neat enough for me. The gloves seemed to be covered in a sort of white powder, as seen in my photos.While I have yet to use them for work, I can say they are comfortable enough to my cat, who instantly began purring once our glove brushing test began. So in his eyes, he gives it 5 stars!I didn't measure my hands for any fit, but went off of the Q & As below the product and settled on a medium due to my long fingers. While my palms are quite small, I'm sure the small would have been too short for my hand overall and I'm okay with the medium. I can't flick my wrist and send the glove flying off which is good enough me for me!If I am able, I will update once I use them for washing so you have a better idea of their versatility. But like I said in the title, there's really no surprises with these gloves. Don't expect too much, but they aren't bad quality.

I've had another set of grooming gloves for a while (ASIN B07XXSZB86) that I would have said worked great, until I gave these a try! These put that set to shame! The contoured nubs focused on the contact points of your hand work much better and make the gloves more flexible for brushing sensitive areas like the neck and legs. They're nice and thick and feel like they'll last a good while. The rubber has more "tack" and really pulls out all the loose hair, but still releases it easily. I keep my little cordless vacuum nearby and use it to suck the hair off the gloves and from around my pet while I brush them.Best part? All three of my cats LOVE THEM. My fragile, bony, little special-needs cat usually only tolerated brushing with the old gloves or furminator, but he was rolling around and leaning in to these. After a couple minutes, he was having such a good time I actually heard some quiet purrs from him for the first time in TWO YEARS. My dog likes being petted with them, but they're not effective at all for her coat (more detail below).I can't believe the amount of hair these gloves got out of the cats in a short time. The picture with one cat (special-needs guy) is the pile of fur just from him after only maybe 5 minutes. It filled my little vacuum! The other picture shows the fur I got out of him (in the vac) and his sister in ~5min each. His sister and my other cat LOVE being brushed and will let you really dig in so it's easier to get more hair out. They come running if they see me holding the gloves, meowing and circling my legs wanting groomed. The whole time I first used them, I kept thinking "now I have to be done!" then more would keep coming. Can't wait to keep using these several times per week and see a reduction in shed hair around the house!Now, these won't work for every type of pet. They're GREAT for cats, would probably work great for short-haired or single-coated dogs, and horses, but they don't work nearly well enough for my double-coated husky mix dog or I'd bet most long-haired dogs. I can get some of her hair out and they're nice to give her a massage and smooth her coat out, but the nubs aren't long or strong enough to get into her undercoat where all the loose hair hides.My only minor gripes? First that there was no sizing choice when I purchased them, and I've found that they're a bit tight around my knuckles and wrists. I don't have large hands, so they probably won't fit men or women with more than average-size hands. Second that they don't breathe well so my hands get sweaty. But for the benefits for my cats, I'll gladly deal with that!

The media could not be loaded.  I like the little teeth combs they do pick up pretty good, the gloves themselves do give a little stretch. They're thick gloves mainly along the palm along the fingers where the catching combs are, the fabric is one that will soak up water they are NOT water resistant, I recommend sun drying after washing by hand to prevent damage to the gloves.I got them for my medium haired (Norwegian Forest) cat, they work great on her, and in case no one knows this wear only one glove to brush, use your other bare hand to smooth/wipe away excess hairs also to relax your cat given over stimulation can occur in SOME cats and they'll bite (pardon the background noise its a space heater)

These fit great, unlike most that are too large. They work good on my long haired cats, not so much on short haired, but of course, they’re not designed for that. They are GREAT for cleaning both carpet covered & faux fur covered cat trees! A real added bonus. I think they’re too rough for young cats, better to use one of their less aggressive products. Cleaning them could be a little easier, the hair doesn’t just pull off unless it’s matted. Definitely would buy again.
