It isn't very often that I am impressed with a storage case as I was with this one. From the materials of substantial canvas and leather to a nicely actioned zipper with security snap, everything was perfect for what I was looking for. I went from having 1 to having 4 in varying sizes and colors in no time. I really like having a place to store my best drawing tools and the fact that it will travel well and keep everything so protected is a real bonus. So far, every color has been a joy. I have absolutely nothing but positive comments and hope they keep up this exact design and level of workmanship. NOTE: if you have a larger diameter pencil, it will hold a great deal less. I had the 24 set of Derwent Drawing pencils and I bumped them up to a 48 case. The diameter of the pencil still makes the case snug to zip, but they work better with 2 per elastic partition. 3 was tight. It never would have held 4.

I bought this my watercolor pencils that I carry in my traveling traveling art box. The quality: 👏 Awesome! The fit: 👌 Perfect! Price: An amazing deal! I really love office supplies, office storage supplies, crafts supplies... I bought two of this pouch and they are equally awesome. My pencils fit beautifully —not too tight, and not too loose. I am very happy with this item. Oh! And it has a snap to keep the zipper from accidentally opening and losing your gear. The only thing you should know is this: this pouch is only designed to hold standard pencil size pencils (think your regular Dixon Ticonderoga yellow pencils). I use all kinds of pencils. I especially love Sumo grip mechanical pencils (extra chunky) and Blackwing pencils (extra long). The case will not zip around the extra length of the Blackwing pencils and chunky pencils give you less space to use for storing writing implements. Aside from that, these are great and worth every penny.

I have several of these pencil cases, at least one in each size they come in. This is the smallest of the cases and I use it as my go to for my most often used pens. The elastic bands are extremely tight, so be prepared to wrestle just a bit when extracting and replacing your pencils or pens (not a bad thing). I like that the case is sturdy, rigid, and very well made. The zipper is quality and zips quite easily around the entire case. I like that the zipper pull snaps into a spot on the spine of the case. It makes the case easy to store or toss in a bag for on the go.

If you read reviews before buying, you already know that the elastic loops in this brand of case are a bit controversial...and I'm not going to disagree with that assessment. Individual loops for each pencil probably would have been a better design overall. That said, the current design isn't as bad as the worst reviews would have you believe. I bought this case to hold a set of 36 Derwent Inktense pencils, and I found that 3 pencils fit quite easily into the loops. Four pencils per loop was more difficult, but not as big an issue as I expected; I did gently stretch the loops by hand before use. I was able to put the entire set into this case, and still had a loop leftover to hold a few blender pens. With just a little stretching & 4 per loop, I definitely could have fit 48 Derwent pencils into this case--and Derwents are a bit thicker than some brands. But three per loop is probably the ideal amount for ease of removal and putting away. The construction quality is very good, with quality materials and nice, even stitching. The snaps on the zipper pulls are a nice touch. At least one reviewer mentions that it's a bit thick when closed, and I'd agree with that, but overall it's a fairly compact, portable unit that feels like it will be good protection for your expensive markers or pencils. I'll be buying a second one in another color for another pencil set I have, and I recommend it to anyone who wants an organized carrier for their art tools, with the caveat that you may need to go up a size to accommodate your pencils easily.

These are pricy, but I love them. So functionally convenient. I've bought them for my colored pencils, markers, pens, even small brushes for organization at home and ease traveling. Worth the dollars.

I used this case for my Cretacolor colored pencils. These pencils are very large & this case holds all 36 without trouble
