How long does it take to start working?

Mostly use for tick control. Flea control is a bonus. Works well for my 2 cats as well as 2 feral cats when I can apply it to them. I have a third feral cat that I have yet to apply it to, but she seems to gain some benefit by her close contact with the others.

how does this compare to advantage in terms of success in ridding of fleas and/or mites?

This was the only flea product that’s ever worked for me. I always found Advantage to be overpriced and ineffective.

Will this treat a 14 pound cat?

I have a cat that is 13 pounds but he does not go out, our other four do. He is on an enclosed patio for outside time. I do treat him for safety as it would be possible for fleas, ticks and lice to get into the patio area.

Does it really work for cats

We've used it all summer on two indoor/outdoor cats -- works great, and our cats didn't have the allergic reaction that they've had on some other brands (Frontline, etc.). I would recommend it.
