Used these replacements cords several times now to complete a restoration of antique lamps. They work and look great! I found the cords were so easy to replace and beautiful, I replaced some cords for my older friends with vintage antique lamps so they can safely use their old lamps they love. It is so great to be able to have these cords that look so good and easy to replace the old cords. Some of the cords from the old lamp were the cloth cords and 75 years old and the old cloth cord starts to deteriorate, now with this cord, it makes this beloved lamp now still is intrinsically and aesthetically restored to be safe to use for already another 75 years.

Those of us who like to "resurrect" vintage items are always on the lookout for items that compliment the original when you have to replace a part. Old table lamps, torcheres etc. are a classic problem: you have no idea what people have done with the wiring over the years, and lots of people want to re-wire just for safety. With these cords, you get a new, known-good conductor, and an attractive, period-appropriate cloth wrap that improves the esthetics as well. That said, these are only 18 gauge stranded conductors, which is fine for a single bulb lamp, but won't be safe for higher current loads. You should do the math for your application before selecting a wire gauge, and it would be good if the vendor could provide temperature rise/amp capacity tables for the wrapped cords, but other than that, these look great and are easy to install.

The cord looks great, is nice and long, and matches the vintage fan that was rewired. Wiring gauge isn't thin, was a good replacement.

Excellent replacement for my 1919 Singer sewing machine. The cloth makes it look more time period correct and it is easy to work with. The wire is easy to bend and flexible unlike the old wire that was starting to crack apart.

Well made, excellent retro vibe. I cut it and spliced it into a dimmer which I would not advise unless a good portion of this cord will be hidden and secured in the recessed area of the dimmer. Obviously cutting it causes the outer woven mesh to fray. I will say if this cord is along the floor at a table or chair gets dragged over it, it could tear the outer woven layer pretty easily, but it does feel nice and substantial to the touch otherwise.

This is a good quality, well made electrical cord, and the cloth covering adds a stylish flair. Recommended.

Needed this specific cord to keep the vintage look on a 1937 Radio i am restoring. It's beautiful, well made, but as soon as you start cutting the cottong wrap in order to split the wires to get to you connecting point, the material starts unravelling and slipping down the cord. So my only complaint is the lead wires are not nearly long enough especially when you need to tie a know to hold the cord where no strain relief grommets can be used on old chassis. But otherwise fine product. Great seller, speedy delivery with Amazon Prime.
