Best timer ever for Holiday Displays
I love these! I have a huge display for Halloween & Christmas & used to use the photocell ones which were ok but it was annoying that they all went on & off at different times depending on the sunlight in the area. These are great & can be controlled with the app on my phone so I can have ALL 6 zones turn on & off at the same time!

How to set this up using Smart Life app for Android
1. Download the Smart Life app if you don't already have it on your phone.2. Make sure your phone's WiFi is connected to 2g speed of your router. It won't work on 5g speed.3. Open Smart Life app. Make sure to follow all of the steps to remove the "CONNECT TO BLUETOOTH" alert on your screen. Click on the alert on the screen and it will walk you through the connection process. Do not proceed until the alert disappears. Once it is gone, click on ADD DEVICE. Manually select "SOCKET (WiFi)" as shown in the photo with this review. You will be prompted to provide the 2g WiFi password. Continue through to the part where a window pops up and asks if you see slow blinking or fast blinking. Do not click anything else yet.4. IMPORTANT!!! Click the plug so the red light is on. Hold it down for 5 seconds until it blinks multicolors really fast. Hold button down again until unit turns off, then turn it on and hold the button down for 5 seconds. This is a little tricky but you should see the multicolors blinking slower than before. Click the button once so it turns to a blue blink that is even slower, like it blinks once every 2 seconds. It is noticeably slower. This is what you want.5. Click the "slow blinking" option on the app. You will be prompted to connect your WiFi to SimpleLife-XXXX. It will take a minute to show up. Let it sit there on the WiFi connection screen for 30 seconds or so and then click the back arrow button. This will take you back to the Smart Life app. You should see the device pair, then connect to the cloud, then activate the plug. Little icons and animations at the bottom of the app screen. This may take you multiple times for it to work, but it will work! And when it does, you are all set. 👍

Works perfect for my outdoor holiday decorations
I was looking for an outdoor plug that I could push into the ground and be able to control with my phone over Wi-Fi. After reading some reviews I was pretty nervous about having connectivity issues so I purchased the TP-LINK - Kasa Smart Wi-Fi plug as another option just in case. The set up instructions were poorly written, but fortunately Amazon provides a video up with the product photos that does a good job in explaining the process. I did run into a road block since I use the Comcast Xfinity Xfi modem. It is a dual Wi-Fi router that broadcasts in one signal. I couldn't set up the HBN outlet since my phone was on the 5G signal and it needed to be on 2.4G in order to connect to the plug.I didn't want to go through the hassle of changing my router settings, so during the set up process I walked out in the yard as far as I could until I was beyond the range of my 5G signal. I then let my phone automatically switch to 2.4G. Although, the 2.4G signal is slower than 5G it does have a much larger range. When my phone switched over to 2.4G the HBN app was then able to see the outdoor plug and I was able to complete the set up process. Now I'm able to connect to the device regardless of whether my phone is on the 2.4 or 5G signal. Even if I have to unplug and plug back in the device, I can still automatically connect to it as long a it's powered on. The app is good enough for me and let's me set up schedules by a specific time, by sunrise / sunset, or a combination of the two.I'm sure there is more functionality to the app, but that is what I need it for. I know you can also use Alexa and Google Home to control it, but I haven't tested it beyond the HSN app.The 6 plugs on the device can NOT be controlled separately from each other. They are all on or all off. I sent the TP-LINK back without testing it, so I'm unable to compare the two.Overall, I'm pleased with the product. I use it for my outdoor holiday decorations and it works perfectly for my needs. I did rate it 4 stars because of the poor instructions, connectivity issues when setting up, and the app didn't seem very impressive compared to other home automation products.

Not Water Tight LEAKS shorts
So at first I thought I was really going to dig this outlet. It seemed to be easy to connect to my phone with the app. But after being rained on a few times I went out to inspect it to find out why it wasn't working. It has a flip up top plastic cup that protects the button from rain I guess. Anyway I noticed that the entire cup was full of water. Not just a little moisture. But the entire cup was full. I don't even know how that could happen. It's not like it was on its side or anything. It was still sticking straight up in the ground about 18 inches above the surface. It was snapped shut the propper way but somehow water still leaked inside and shorted out the device. It's dead as a doornail.

Power distribution
When it comes to holiday lighting you can never have enough outlets. This gives you great control of that with your phone. You can turn it on and off remotely which comes in handy. No more crawling through the snow and dog poo to turn it on and off.The anchor is good and strong too. It doesn't break putting it in the ground. Its pretty awesome

Doesn’t do what it’s supposed to, app couldn’t find it.
It works for plugging stuff in and having power. And that’s where it ended. I wanted something that was “smart controlled” so I didn’t have to trudge thru knee deep snow to turn it on and off. Setting this up using their app was beyond insane. And then the app couldn’t even find the darn thing!!Ended up just plugging and unplugging it from the house to turn the decorations on or off. And when they came down after Christmas, this thing went in the trash. Waste of money.
