Pureology Hydrate Sheer Shampoo - Lightweight Hydrating Shampoo For Fine or Dry Color-Treated Hair, Silicone-Free & Vegan

I've been using this shampoo for many years. I have fine and highlighted hair. It doesn't strip my color. It only takes a very small amount of shampoo to wash your hair. I prefer the small bottle. It's easier to handle when I'm showering. It leaves my hair clean and soft. The small bottle lasts a long time. If you haven't tried it, Amazon's price is fair for the small bottle.

After years of dry, fly away hair due to over washing, drug store shampoo and radiation twice, I’d had enough. I went to a new hairdresser who told me to find a shampoo for dry , thick hair. I debated long and hard (about 2 weeks) before I took the plunge and purchased Pureology Hydrate Sheer. The cost bothered me but here’s what I learned: 1) You truly do not need a lot. My hair is about half way down my back and I use about a quarter size. I start at my front hairline and work it in, hit it with some water and keep lathering. The water is the key. You will have MORE than enough lather. 2) I only have to wash my hair twice a week vs. every other day. 3). My hair is lighter, more manageable, almost no flyaways and A LOT less hair loss in the shower and on my brush. Now, you’ll notice the lightness almost immediately but the others it will take a few weeks. Your hair has to strip out all the sulfates which cause all the problems most of us try to avoid yet almost all the drug store shampoos contain. 4) the smell is different but after the first few shampoos you really don’t notice it. 5) I figure at $36 for a 9 ounce bottle, if it lasts 3 months with 24-30 shampoos. That comes out to approximately 83 cents a shampoo. I spend almost $200 every 4 l-6 months to dye and highlight my hair. 83 cents is well worth it if it holds the color and doesn’t wash it out like my old shampoos ( I was having to color every 3 months). It’s an investment. 6) I have gotten many compliments on my hair since I started using Pureology. I hope this helps! When in doubt, do it!

I love this shampoo makes my hair soft and like glass without weighing down my fine hair. However I was not offered to review the hair mask. Which I give 5 stars too, I just hate how they changed the packaging to a jar. So NOT shower friendly and I wonder who the idiot was that thought that was a good idea. I put this in this review because it is importsnt to know what your getting since this is expensive. Worth every penny to me with fine hair, but REALLY need to go back to a user friendly bottle.

I was having issues with skin irritation and found this and it was a life changer, no scalp irritation, my hair become super healthy and thick, overall giving it great moisture and appearance while at the same time maintaining color and not being overwhelming with smell.

I bought the shampoo and conditioner. They smell completely different, but nice. the shampoo has a nice light scent to it. That doesn’t bother me, even though I am scent sensitive. The conditioner has peppermint or some sort of mint in it, and it is a refreshing scent. But I am a little more sensitive to peppermint. You only need a tiny bit, because it goes a long way. The reason I took off one star (and maybe I should’ve taken off more stars) is that I cannot open the bottle top without a tool. It was so hard to open that I used a flat head screwdriver to open it. So I just leave the lid propped open. It might dehydrate quicker and I may lose some product that way. The bottles have knocked over a couple times and I’ve lost a little bit of product on the shower floor. The design really does matter, it’s not just the shampoo and conditioner inside the bottle that counts. You may need to squeeze the product into your own bottles. But you’ll waste product doing it. That way. I won’t be re-ordering these.

Too expensive but works good

I have fine, color-treated blonde hair, and this shampoo has been a great balance between hydration and volume. It cleans thoroughly without making my hair feel stripped, and my hair stays soft without feeling weighed down. A little product goes a long way.

Read the reviews, even if you think you know the product! Had I read the reviews I may have realised that I was paying nearly the same price, actually slightly more, for 50ml than I paid a few months ago for 266ml!!! I love this shampoo but feel ripped off. Absolutely no way I will get the same number of washes than I got from my previous bottle!

Worth the money, good for dry hair from treatments/styling

WOW!!! I have finally treated myself to salon like shampoo and condition and boy did I pick a good one. It was on sale so I picked it up. This will now be my go to always. And the conditioner as well. My hair is fine and was always feeling dry and frizzled with other shampoos but I was into the habit and did not better I guess. This shampoo, I use a dime and it works great the conditioner I use a knickel. My hair is just like it is when I leave the salon. Soft, flowing, never dry or frizzy. It smells so good. The conditioner has a mint smell to it that I absolutely love. It reminds me of Aveda products. I cannot recommend this product enough. It's expensive yes, but you don't need nearly as much as regular shampoos and I look for sales.
