VANESSA BTL Professional Extreme Performance Braiding Gel Level 5

First off this stuff is magicccc! Shine n jam is a great brand but this is better! The hold is great for braids and it doubles as an edge control. It lays my 4c hair down like no other. I love how it doesn’t feel or turn greasy like other brands do. And it smells sooo good! I’ve seen ppl complain about a white cast being left, and while that is true.. I’ve noticed it only happens if there’s no products in my hair or if I use too much. A little really does go a long way trust me! But it’s an easy fix. Just take a little bit of oil and rub it over the white spots if it happens. Or I’ll spritz water very & then apply some oil. Don’t worry the oil & water won’t lift the hold on the gel if you use just a bit.

This is by far my favorite gel. It’s stud, holds great and effective. Does not look dry, white or peel. Hair stays in place and last. Isn’t sticky but stiff and durable. Great scent that doesn’t overwhelm or fade into anything stinky. Worth the price .

Works on my 4c hair

This works for about 6-8 hours if you have hair that curls up regardless, but if you have coarse hair it will lay it down and keep it down! Unfortunately I do see the white residue and I'm no sure if I'm using too much and that's what is causing it. But it only take a little and it has a great smell.

Perfect braiding gel and it has a good smell

Love this gel. It hold very well. I like the texture of it. It works well on my hair. The value of the money is good.

This is my go to edge gel now! My aunt who does my hair always gets me hip to what she’s using when I ask because my edges stay slayed for 2-3 days which is rare for me. The smell is phenomenal but since it’s water based it might not be the best for other hair types. But gel texture usually hardens my hair and leaves white residue and this doesn’t!

It leave my hair white after about 15 minutes of use. Other than that it holds your hair & very good
