Chocolate Chip Cookies: Dozens of Recipes for Reinterpreted Favorites Hardcover – September 10, 2013

When I saw this book, I was intrigued by the bourbon cookies and the pretzel cookies. But, did I really need another baking cook book? The review on The Kitchn swayed me. I made the triple-chocolate cookies Monday and tried them out on the Thursday Night Tennis League and my 16 year old daughter. After the tennis match, the ladies said they were getting more of those great cookies before they left (and they didn't know that I was the baker). My daughter texted me that the cookies were delicious. Great little book. Well worth the investment. I can't wait to make the bourbon and pretzel recipes.

This is a great cookbook and it has our family excited to bake! I especially like the unique ingredients, which encouraged me to try chocolate chip cookies I never thought I would try. I also find the texture hints (crunchy, soft, etc) very helpful, as it helps me know if I've prepared and baked the cookies as the recipes intended. I would definitely recommend this cookbook.

I love chocolate chip cookies. This book has traditional recipes and fun variations from the original. Can't wait to try more recipes!

this is a pretty amazing product. i had my sisters, my mom, and my sister's boyfriend each choose a recipe from the book for me to make. it have only made one of them so far but it was pretty amazing. my sister's boyfriend insisted that he wanted me to just give him and pile of flour with chocolate chips mixed in instead of making cookies for him, so that's what i'm giving him for Christmas (a pile of flour with chocolate chips mixed in). i'm about 99.9999999999% sure that he was joking when he said that, but that's what he get for keeping the joke going for longer than a day.

This book was put together well and has some interesting recipes. I was glad I purchased it. Can't wait to try them all!

Excellent variety of sweet and not so sweet maybe even savory varieties. Gave copies to my daughters in law who have been very happy with the results. They've enjoyed the joyous writing as well as the informative background to the ingredients and process. Very practical and straightforward. Brave!!!

The recipes and background information looks good. But less than half the recipes have pictures of the finished product. Pictures motivate you to choose a recipe and determine if you baked it correctly. There was plenty of blank white space where these pictures could be placed.

Ive tried the soft, chewy and crispy recipe of the cookies and none of them came out as described, nowhere closed i tried adjusting the measurements etc but who’s got time for that?! And all the ingredients ive wasted. I have tried other cookbooks that are more complicated than this and has no problem with it.
