PlayStation 3 DualShock 3 wireless controller - Metallic Gold

Pros Genuine Sony Dualshock 3 product Cosmetically awesome even though it was used before All buttons and rumble are working Cons Battery died probably while kept in warehouse (it is not a big deal, easily replaced)

Arrived in perfect condition a day ahead of when it was scheduled to. Immediately charged it up and started playing with it, Works great and is the actual Sony controller. Looks just like my black one which came with my PS3. To those getting upset that it doesn't come with the charging cable, I didn't see anywhere that one was included in the box, merely the information that you can charge it with one. I wasn't upset because I got a charging cable when I bought my PS3, it's not as if I bought this with no means to charge it. Next time I suggest looking to see what's listed as "what's in the box."

I had fears that this was going to be a bootleg due to the lower than average price, (I paid 50$ USD - the price has since gone up), however, I was pleasantly surprised that, no, it is Authentic Sony equipment. Not only do all the serial and model numbers match, and not only does the package look right, but the controller has the correct feel of genuine Sony equipment. My used PS3 controllers from GameStop cost more than this New controller! The gold is a bright, shiny metallic. I bought this for my GF and she loves it!

The key difference between these Sony controllers and the $10 knockoffs is the analog stick precision control. I bought one of the cheap ones and was very disappointed. It was suppose to be wireless but the inputs without the USB cord connected were about 2 seconds delayed!!! This controller here works perfect for gaming of any type. With the cheap ones you cant play an FPS game without the handicap of the unresponsive analog sticks. It's worth spending 3 times the money for a product that will last you years and work the way its suppose to. Game on.

This controller works perfectly. I use it to attach via USB to the back of my Sony 4K Ultra HD 65 inch Television. I have a PlayStation Now subscription which turns my Sony TV into a console. Therefore, i do not need an actual PS console. I just turn on my TV scroll to playstation section and begin streaming any PS3 game I wish. One downside is that you cannot play any game higher than PS3 (like PS4 games). Not yet, at least. The graphics and picture image of most games is absolutely stunning and amazing on my Sony 4K tv bc it automatically upscales all games from say, 1080 HD up closer to 4K resolution. It looks so real that it is hard to believe what you are seeing. So, i love this controller and it works perfectly.

This is an authentic controller, not a knock-off; I was a bit unsure because I've never seen gold. I purchased this back in July (2013), and I only use this on my backup console in the spare room, but so far nearly 3 months later there's been no issues). This came in sixaxis packaging, and L3/R3 joysticks are very responsive, so that's pretty much how I know it's not a knock-off. Good product, will buy again, and definitely recommend. One bit of advice is to add it to your wish list and watch the price as it will fluctuate. I typically do not pay more than 39-43 for a controller anymore, and with Free SSS (or prime customers) there's no shipping costs.

Pros: This is a Legit Sony PS3 Controller.... not some knock off/fake Has rumble and six axis control Wireless Buttons and joysticks and D-pad work flawlessly and don't seem to have any deadzones. Cons: Still a little spendy for a controller, but that's how Sony does it. Doesn't come with usb charge cable, but that's no big deal as I use use the one my PS3 came with. Summary: Paying about $40 bucks for this is better than having to deal with a crappy $10 to $20 knock-off controller full of issues. Bottom line, this is what you want.

COMPLETE GARBAGE!!!!!! First of all, the controller didn't even work. It never kept a charge or actually sync'd with the PS3. More bizarrely, someone had drilled/cut a hole in the back of the controller to insert some sort of switch, which was hot glued in there. I have NO frigging CLUE what that could've been. Regardless, I had a short amount of time to get a replacement controller to a friend, so I ended up just using this for parts. I'm extremely disappointed. I would've returned it if I had more time. Be ashamed. Be very ashamed for taking nearly $50 from me.
