Cute and fun!
Very cute! My 3 1/2 year old loves them! They are pretty small, but I use these picks more for a decorating piece than utencil so my son can get excited about his food. I think smaller hands will be able to hold them a bit better, although you dont want to give them to children too small because as Ive noticed they may try and put the whole thing in their mouth or play with them as a toy. The child should definitely always be watched while eating in general, even more so with these. But my toddler was def excited when he saw these on his plate. I did not give it 5 stars only because I think for the price they could've spared a few more picks in the package. I didnt think the price was so fantastic for the quantity especially since they prob wont last too much longer then a few sittings. Overall though I am happy with them.

cute, and makes lunchtime fun for kids.
If you are into "cute and convenient," this would be for you. I make a bento box for my kid's lunch because he doesn't like eating out of separate containers. He is too lazy to wash his hands first and get out a fork, so these food picks are the answer. The part that you grab is very sturdy and easy for a child to handle. The fork portion of the pick does not break easily, even when you push it down against the table. They are also not so small that you would lose them down your garbage disposal while cleaning them. Some of them have four prongs, like a fork, and others have just two prongs. I put the two-pronged ones in soft items like a sliced up cheese stick, or in the stem of a strawberry or grape. Most of all, I am just happy that my son likes them and it makes him less picky when it comes to lunch time. Less whining and more eating is always a plus in my book.

Great novelty for kids
These food picks are an awesome little novelty that has helped to get our 5 y/o to eat more fruits and veggies in her lunch. We stick a few in her fruit or veggies and she uses them like a fork or we roll up deli meat and cheese and spear them with the picks to keep them together. They seem pretty durable, none of the tines have broken. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because they are TINY, they would be more convenient if they were a bit larger.

Didn't work for us
These arrived in the mail today and I couldn't wait to try them out on my picky eaters. They are smaller than they appear in the picture, but they really are the right size once you try using them. My kids are really bad about eating anything that isn't a chicken nugget. They say making food more fun is supposed to encourage kids to try foods. I have tried so many "picky eater" tactics, and none of them have worked. Sadly, little bites with fun animals didn't work either. They just pulled them out of the little bites of sandwich and played with the animals, and left their food behind.

just for fun
I bought these just for fun, and when I opened them up my kids 6 & 3 were SO excited to use them! My 6 year old eats like a bird, barely anything, and so when she literally ate 2x as much as normal just because it was FUN I was thrilled. The two prong ones are pretty pointless they are so tiny but the others are great. I just wash and reuse. They are a fun idea for small kids and make meal time fun.

Perfect For Older Kids and Adults
I bought these for our bentos. I have college age daughters for whom I enjoy preparing bentos. I find it relaxing to cook. These are adorable stuck in an egg, or a rice ball. They will also hold things together- meat and rice, cheese and meat- but I would NEVER EVER give them to a small child who might eat them. They do appear to be a choking hazard, and pass through my choke tester (a small tube which will tell you if something is small enough to choke a child). That said, they are perfect for older children and adults- and add color and whimsy to a bento lunch.

Cute Food Picks But Small
I bought these to use in my 3 year old's lunch box and they are super cute. Quite honestly, the only one I really use is the giraffe pick since that is the largest and the perfect size for him to pierce pieces of sausage etc. The other four animal picks are quite small and I'm afraid he'll swallow it - I'd only use them if I was around to watch him. But they are fun and definitely add a fun touch to kids lunchboxes!
