Tips to Make This Cleanse Effective, Easy, and Enjoyable (I started with 2 pills too) :)
I am a full week into this cleanse and have had such an easy time of it (including losing 9 pounds -133 lbs down to 124 lbs- in 7 days), I want to share my tips now so you guys can benefit immediately instead of waiting until the second week of my cleanse is complete. I started on Day 1 taking 2 pills and never had any painful cramps or "accidents". I did my daily workouts (BodyPump) and nature walks and even had an hour-long massage on Day 4. I believe you can emulate my key takeaways for making this cleanse effective, easy, and enjoyable... even starting with 2 pills (and continuing to take 2 pills daily). Tip 1: I stayed very hydrated. In the beginning, I drank approximately 200oz water daily. I am no longer measuring/monitoring my water intake (and am probably drinking half that on a daily basis now) but I'm convinced that being well-hydrated helped moved things along with only minor cramps. If I ever needed to nudge my bowels from feeling like "I might need to go soon" to "I need to go now", I just chugged a tall glass of water and evacuated my bowels within a minute or two. Tip 2: I learned that taking the 2 pills right before bedtime is best. The first time I took them, they kicked in about 6 hours later. The second time, about 7 hours later and stabilized at kicking in 7-8 hours after taking them. So, if you take them (with a tall glass of water) right before bed, you will maximize your sleep time. Tip 3: I ate mostly healthy (whole foods) and mostly vegan... I did have the occasional eggs and cheese and even a few Doritos one day. I tend to be a healthy eater (fresh fruits and veggies) and am on the Bryan Johnson Blueprint diet for almost a month now and my foundation of healthy eating probably helped. Tip 4: I enjoy daily exercise. I tend to stay active which keeps my body happy. Tip 5: My attitude about bowel movements is that they make me happy. If they "hurt" a little bit I don't mind, I am grateful that I am going since I love feeling light and empty. I'm certain that my attitude helped this cleanse be more enjoyable since I felt zero stress, which keeps my stomach happy. --- To give you an idea of my experience, I never had to "run" to the bathroom. I could walk and even finish what I was doing before heading to the bathroom. The first morning I had 2 big BMs and 2 small BMs The second morning I had 2 big to medium BMs and 2 small BMs The third morning I had 2 big to medium BMs and 2 small BMs After that, I've stabilized to 1 large to medium BM and then 1-2 small BMs I should also mention how grateful I am for this cleanse. I was very backed up prior to beginning the cleanse so I am overjoyed with all of this "movement". :) The 2 days before I started, I used 2 enemas the night before and 2 more enemas the morning of... all 4 resulting in LARGE evacuations since I hadn't gone to the bathroom 2-3 days prior. I honestly don't know why my BMs have been taking days off for the last 6 months or so (and I really dislike that feeling of being too full and bloated). What I do know is this cleanse is a godsend and I'm overjoyed that my stomach is flat again and my spirits are high once more (I like looking cute in my clothes and feeling good in my body). :) I hope these tips have been helpful for you. All the best!

My Holiday Cleansing Log... or logs...
I recently started my 14 day cleanse hoping to start the new year 'fresh' and purge all the bad build up from the year/holiday. I have followed the directions and am consuming more water then it requires but I normally do. I will update my progress as time allows. I take it before bed (9:30 pm) so Day 1 its technically the next day. I started while I was off for the holidays so that I could get a handle on the experience before meshing it into my work life. I normally go once a day in the AM 5 days a week. I will update this as things progress. Here goes: Day 1 - No noticeable cramping. I actually missed my normal 'morning window'. But about 10:30 am it was show time. Much larger than normal but solid. The smell was pretty bad. I guess it’s the loosening up stage. Went a total of 3 times the last being running with lots of pressure behind it. Day 2 - Still no cramping. The Gas has set in. I can clear a room. I went all morning without a movement, I was just 'venting'. I took other people advice and make sure I did not fire anything off without being in the bathroom. Made it through the whole day with no bowel moments other than lots of gas. Day 3 - Woke up at 7 am with moderate cramping ready to go. I had a good deal or darker colored stool at first. The smell is like nothing I have ever had come out of me and I am an avid Mexican food consumer. I was in the bathroom for 20 mins (15 mins of action and 5 mins to finish angry birds). While I was washing my hands I had to go back in for another round. The stool was loose and lighter colored the second time. I went 6 times through out the day. There seemed to be mucus like 'stuff' laced throughout the loose logs. Like the colons version of tinsel on a tree. Day 4 - I again hit the bathroom half awake at 7 am with mild cramps. I almost made the mistake of letting gas vent in bed. Wow am I glad I didn't. I no sooner hit the seat before my body let out what is best described as a chocolate shotgun blast. This prompted a shower after. I have noticed a good deal of oily film on the water. I hope the smell means that my body is getting rid of this stuff and not reacting to the formula. Day 4 is in the books with 5 movements. Most of which were urgent requiring a fast paced duck walk to the nearest bathroom. Frequent gas 7/10 on the funk scale... Day 5 - Went right after my first cup of coffee. I was all some what solid and it was less urgent this time. Still producing a large volume of the 'tinsel turds'. I have been drinking 6-8 bottles of water a day and have definitely noticed that I am thirsty all the time. I have also noticed that I am ravenously hungry. I am sticking to small healthy meals (chicken breast and fresh veggies). I made it through the day with only one movement. The Gas has definitely been the most extreme today that it has been. I am not sure how I am going to do this at work. I am basically a walking crop duster. 11/10 on funk scale. I am also down 5 lbs from day 0.

Dr. Tobias Colon Cleanse
This is one of the best colon cleansers I’ve ever tried. In just four days, I lost 5 pounds of waste and noticed a significant reduction in bloating, leaving me feeling much lighter. After developing a serious sugar habit—especially ice cream and M&M’s—I gained about 40 pounds. I decided to start this colon cleanse as part of my wellness routine and combined it with coconut oil and oregano oil capsules while working to improve my diet. My goal was to support my digestive health and address what I believed could be Candida overgrowth. The cleanse worked very well for me. I experienced frequent bowel movements with only mild abdominal cramping before using the restroom, which was manageable. My recommendation is to take it around 3:00 p.m. so most of the flushing happens before bedtime and is less likely to interrupt your sleep. Overall, I’ve had a very positive experience and would recommend it to anyone looking for an effective colon cleanser as part of a healthy lifestyle.

They cause cramping and when it starts it comes on quickly
They work! But be prepared for a lot of cramping and they come on fast! They claim these are not good to take all the time so be careful! I only take one capsule once a week and it will do the trick…

*UPDATED REVIEW* Excellent Customer Service / Didn't Do Anything
Below you'll find my initial review of this product, and I had it at a one-star rating. The seller reached out an offered a full refund with no need to return the product. Five stars. If you are unsure if this would work for you, I definitely recommend trusting this brand and giving it a go. --- I followed the package instructions by taking 2 pills every day for 7 days. The following 7 days are supposed to be without taking any pills, so you aren't supposed to take them for 14 days despite it claiming to be a 14-day cleanse. I just finished my first 7 days. Unfortunately, these did nothing for me. I definitely had discomfort. I tried using them at night per the package instructions, but I woke up every morning with a bad migraine and terribly nauseous; 2 out of the 4 days I took them at night I threw up first thing in the morning. I think this is because I can't stay hydrated throughout the night since I'm sleeping, so I started taking them in the morning that way I could drink water throughout the day to help with negative side effects. This change was definitely helpful in reducing negative side effects, but unfortunately it did not increase what is supposed to be the positive effects. I was hoping to lose some stubborn weight, but I lost absolutely none. I did have good energy throughout the week, but I can't credit that to these since I was also in my follicular phase. I did have larger bowel movements, but that's about it. I think you should only invest in these if you have tummy troubles regularly. I don't, so I was thinking these would actually be more helpful since I already have a healthy gut, but I think it's the opposite - if you find yourself regularly bloated and uncomfortable, this could assist. If your gut is generally good, I don't think these will do anything for you. The one thing I would recommend is getting a tub of benefiber to mix with your water, so you're always getting hydration and fiber. It doesn't change the flavor or consistency, and does fully dissolve into cold liquids. These are a laxative, so plenty of water and fiber are both musts. I will give these another go during my menstruation cycle since I do still have more, as maybe it would help with my bloating and discomfort during that phase. But for now, would not repurchase as no benefits reaped.

Don’t go into this blindly, know what you’re getting yourself into.
I am writing this review from the toilet, since I am spending so much of my mornings here since starting this cleanse. That is the first thing I want to make sure others know before purchasing this, that you need to be prepared for multiple bathroom trips within the first few hours of your day for two weeks. I can’t see that being possible if you are on a job site working on a scaffold, in a daycare center or classroom, cashiering in a grocery store, have an infant to care for or drive for a living. It may be possible if you only take one pill before bed to do your business before work, but if taken as directed, this cleanse is a part time job in its own right. That said, the benefits of this job are a major reset of the gut which is helpful if you have struggled with poor digestion for a long time and intend to instill better dietary habits going forward. If you go right back to whatever you were doing before, your constipation will eventually return after you complete the cleanse. The reason it should not be used for more than two weeks is that Senna is a powerful liquefier of stool and you can become dependent upon it. What you really need to do is make changes in how you care for your body to restore balance in the gut and proper hydration of the large intestine. This cleanse is not a quick fix for bad habits, it’s an opportunity to wipe the slate clean and start anew. I chose this formula because I can’t afford my usual go-to spring colon cleanse, the Colonix kit. That one is a month-long, deeply restorative purge which more slowly and gradually releases build-up from the intestinal walls. The company has a photo gallery on their website for people to share with the world the horrifyingly fascinating stuff that comes out of their bodies during that cleanse. That is what I am used to, seeing very satisfying strands of rubbery gunk and losing weight by releasing it. The Dr. Tobias cleanse is quite different—more like a nuclear blast than an excavation. Because of this, I question the overall benefit of voluntarily giving yourself explosive diarrhea for two weeks straight. I wonder if nutrient absorption is reduced by moving food through the body so fast, and if so, that could account for any weight loss achieved during the cleansing period. A lot of water is also lost, so it’s imperative that you consume extra while using this product so you don’t get dehydrated. I have had similar results from consuming Jerusalem artichokes and stopped eating them because of the cramping and excessive gas that came along with the mobilization of stuck poop. Now I’m wondering if instead of spending $20 on these pills, I should have instead dug up more of those tubers from the garden because I’m not sure there is much more of an advantage to using this formula. Notable positive effects include having more energy and a sense of calm in my body from not being chronically drained and stressed out by struggling to clear my bowels. I would like to feel like this all the time, so I’ll be tweaking my diet to hopefully correct what was causing my chronic backups. Exercise is a key component, but also hydration—not only from drinking water but from eating hydrating foods like citrus fruit. The more negative effect of taking this formula are the tremendous clouds of gas and associated cramping, and the aforementioned inconvenience of needing to be near a toilet for 2-3 hours in the first half of the day. I recommend waiting until you can be more flexible with your daily schedule to prioritize this cleanse. I don’t think it’s a good idea to only use this product occasionally when you’re constipated as there are other products intended for that and the point of a cleansing protocol is to completely reset the bowels and then make lifestyle changes. Anyway, I am somewhere between three and four stars on this product. If I see lasting improvement in my digestion after I have completed the two week program, I will add that fourth star. From where I am now, halfway through, it mostly seems like a strong laxative that does what my gut can’t do on its own.

I found God in a grocery store bathroom stall.
OMG-Let’s just say-This stuff really works and could change your life. I started the program on a Thursday in anticipation of needing to remain close to home and a bathroom over a long weekend. My first mistake was under-estimating the amount of toilet paper I would need-I figured one roll a day and I had 5 rolls to get me through 4 days. By Saturday morning, I was out of TP so I jumped into the shower, my 5th shower in 2 days, and drove the 20 minutes to a grocery store. I knew it was risking maneuver as I’d been hitting the toilet every 20 minutes but I felt like things had progressed through my system and was slowing down-This was my 2nd mistake. As I approached the grocery store, I felt a gassy bubble approaching my exit and started feeling a little uncomfortable. I got out of my car and when I did, things started shifting internally and that little gassy feeling felt like a full on avalanche approaching. As I walked into the grocery store, I started looking for the restroom-which of course was in the back of the store up a flight of stairs. I briskly walked towards my goal and by the time I reached the back of the store, I was walking like The Hunchback of Notre-Dame. My 3rd mistake was thinking that I would be able to relieve some pressure by letting out a little “gas”-That was not gas. At the base of the stairs and the restroom only 20ft away, I took one step up and that was enough to break the dam of fecal hell. That gassy feeling was not gas at all. At this point, I had nothing to lose and sprinted into a stall. As I sat there an absolute mess in a graffiti ridden, grocery store bathroom stall, I started reflecting on my life’s decisions and what led up to this moment of utter embarrassment. It was at that moment, that I found god. I sat there, not quite in tears, praying for a change of life style-asking god for forgiveness for my sins. I started thinking of the dog that I gave away when I couldn’t responsibly take care of him, the girlfriend I cheated on in college, and other life regrets. After about 20 minutes, and another round of colon discharge, I got myself together only to run out of toilet paper again-My sincere apologies to the Kroger store in VA as I had to use hand towels to clean up, tossing my underwear in the trash and clogging the toilet. My last mistake, which was technically my first mistake, was wearing grey sweat pants and not wearing a baseball hat to hide my shame. Needless to say, I was able to buy 2 of the largest packs of TP and head home where the cycle continued for the next 2 days. I lost 7lbs in 4 days. I recommend- Stocking up on TP Remain close to a bathroom Have your laundry completed with extra towels Drink lots of water If you have to leave the house, pack a suit case of cleaning materials and backup clothes Wear a hat if you leave the house-It just feels right and could be used in an emergency
