nPower PEG Personal Kinetic Energy Generator Battery Backup For iPhone iPod Droid Galaxy etc.

I was excited about this product, since I like to bring "tech toys" with me while doing day hikes, and the nPower Peg would give me the assurance that my devices would get charged while out. The ability to charge off my footsteps was the selling point, since I'd be using it while hiking and and I may find myself in a place where there may not be enough sun to power a solar charger.I charged it at home off my computers USB port and charged my MotoACTV fitness watch - which worked fine. However, I wanted to do a real world test of the charging potential for the kinetic charging, so without charging the PEG after, I put it in my backpack and went out on an 8 mile test hike. The nPower Peg didn't charge at all. Not even enough to charge my MotoACTV fitness watch from it's 40%.In addition to the above, they don't supply a charging cable that is compatible with the iPhone 5 series smartphones (and future iPhones with the Lightning adapter) and rely on iGo for additional adapter tips. Presently, iGo does not make an adapter tip for the Apple Lightning connector. Unfortunately, this is a issue with Apple restricting manufacturers for manufacturing their Lightning connectors. I've contacted nPower PEG for information on this, but I have not received a respons and don't think I'm going to be waiting to hear back from them before I return it and get my money back instead of exchanging it for another unit.Sad... I had high hopes for this. And after reading reviews and complaints people have posted on this product, I wish I'd done my research first. I gave it 2-Stars since the concept is good but what's the point if the product doesn't work?

this powers my phone while i jog and listen to music when my phone was complete no charge. kept it on and fully charged it i have one suggestion for seller can you through in a flashlight that is powered by the device or advertisement for said device in box.
