Haven't had it long, but love it so far.Sanitary, sanitary, sanitary... and it works well as a spatula, to boot! I've run it through the dishwasher several times, and it comes out well every time, with no film, as I get on some cheaper spatulas I've had. LOVE the silicon, since I can now use it for flipping eggs, and stirring soups, etc on the Teflon pans.I've agreed with some who wished for a longer handle, right up til I put them in the dishwasher, when I was glad for the length they are, as any longer, and they won't fit in my silverware slots, or my drawer, for that matter. Also love the slim handle, as many spatulas take up too much room in the dishwasher with their fat handles. This one's perfect.I got two, one skinny, and one standard size, and both are flexible enough to scrape, but not too flimsy to stir. Good texture, good strength, and good length for me. If they hold up over time, I'll be handing them out for Christmas gifts next year.UPDATE: 3 months later: I still love all the things I said about it, but the one negative is the smell/taste. I'd hoped that would ease up after a while, but it really hasn't. It's not an overwhelming smell, but it is there, and it affects the taste of foods when you are trying to taste test. I don't think it's imparting anything to the actual food, but if you lick the spatula to taste your sauces, you will taste the spatula more than you want to. I've had to go back to tasting from a spoon, and just use the spatula for stirring. I also don't leave it in the food - just stir, and remove. Too bad. It would be PERFECT if not for the taste/smell. I had to knock off one star for taste. Otherwise, it would be a 5 star.

Always happy with Mastrad. No seams to worry about and stiff enough to give you a good stir when needed. This one replaced one that broke after 7 years of use.

Great for cooking and easy to clean

I needed a slim silicone spatula and decided to purchase this one because of all the great reviews. There are 2 things that I like about this spatula-- it is slim, and it has a very pretty red color. Otherwise, I hate everything else about it. I especially hate its very gritty texture!! I find it very unpleasant to touch and to hold. I have many different kinds of silicone spatulas in my kitchen, and they are all very soft and pleasant to touch. They are all very smooth. This one is very rough. I really can't stand the horrible gritty feel of it.I also don't like the weight of it. It is surprisingly heavy. Whatever type of metal, that is used inside of this, protrudes too much on the top of it. None of my other spatulas have this problem at all. There is no mention, in the description of it, what the interior is made from. The handle part is a bit too long for a small spatula, and it feels heavy and awkward, with its interior piece coming all the way up, to more than half of the top piece, and protruding so much out from it!If only one of the reviews had mentioned some of these things, I would have never purchased this item. It is a big disappointment and not at all what I was expecting it to be.

I specifically looked for a one-piece spatula because I had previously used two piece ones and they always end up with mold/mildew between the two pieces. My husband requested something that was dishwasher safe, so we tried this one.I was impressed by how thick and heavy it is--it's very well made. I like how the design allows for one side to scrape more than the other making it very versatile.I've used this for several months already and it performs just as new. I wash in the dishwasher and sometimes use heated dry and it hasn't changed shape or chipped at all.I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a long lasting spatula.

I am a great fan of this spatula. I've owned plenty of spatulas in my time, with nylon heads or silicone heads, but nothing quite like this one. Have you ever pulled the handle out of a spatula head and seen all the blackish crap that grows in there? No risk of biological overgrowth with this smoothly contoured bundle of wonderfulness. With all the benefits of silicone (heat resistance, non-stick, flexible) and none of the bio-risk, I'm sold. I've bought three already and plan to invest in more.

This is a terrific little spatula. It isn't quite as narrow as the old one I had, but it's a great size to get down into tomato paste cans, for example. And in red, if it's getting stained by tomato products, the stains don't show. I especially love the one piece construction. I never felt like I was getting my old spatulas clean where the handle pushes inside the blade.

Great, works great, cleans great, baked a cake with it already.
