Really nice wire. Here's the cost analysis though
Really nice wire. Here's the cost analysis though. In 20' rolls, this is costing 48¢ per foot. You can buy the same wire Artistic Wire 18-Gauge Tarnish Resistant Silver Wire, 1/4-Pound in a larger roll for 39¢ per foot.I have been making 7-8 mm jump rings using the Beadalon Artistic Wire Professional Deluxe 5-Rod Coiling Gizmo, 7mm/5mm/3mm/2.5mm/1mm by 38.1cm , and each one uses about 1.1" of wire to make. So I get about 218 rings from this 20 foot roll, at a cost of $4.36 per 100 rings. Using the 1/4 lb. roll mentioned above I'd get about 534 rings for a cost of $3.69 per 100 rings. But I've also ordered these packs of 100 jump rings 8mm Open Jump Rings - Silver Plated (100) and they are being sold right now for $1.72. Sometimes when I order them I get different gauges of wire, but I have spoken to the seller and gotten what I wanted. So cost-wise it's a way better deal to order them pre-made.

Perfect for wire wrapping crystals or gemstones.
This gauge of wire was very easy to work with for wire wrapping crystals. It has a softness to it that helps with the flexibility in bending but is also sturdy. I just wished there was more on the roll. I can go through this length pretty quickly.

Not that great for pendants
I bought this 18 gauge wire and another 18 gauge from craft store 'Micheals' the amazon gauge was extremely tough to handle, I could barely bend it. The wire from 'Micheals' was less tough, still sturdy and easy to use. If you're just starting out with jewelry making I would not purchase this one. BUT IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCED, it may be perfect for you.

Great quality wire for a better price than in stores
Artistic Wire is the best crafting wire around. The silver-plated copper is a great compromise between real (expensive) silver and craft wire that is just silver colored. The plating is bright and shiny, and best of all it stays that way since it's non-tarish wire. Amazon usually has it for a great price (second only to buying it wholesale, but I don't go through it enough to justify a bulk order). 18 gauge is great for sturdier projects and the bases of wire-wrapped bracelets, earrings, and necklace components. I even use it for ear wires although it is too big for most piercings, but I appreciate that the copper wire and silver plating are non-allergenic (no itchy ears like the standard nickel-plated ear wires!) Thanks for a great product with fast shipping - I will definitely buy again!

Good value for your money
I like this product. It is light weight and easy to use. Great for DIY Rings. I would recommend purchasing a wire straightener for easier handling.

Beautiful wire -- easy to work
This is great wire that works up beautifully. It looks like sterling silver. I use nylon jaw pliers to protect the tarnish-resistant coating. I also dip my finished projects in varnish to keep them from tarnishing. You could also use nail polish on small items.Although it is labeled "tarnish resistant", it will definitely tarnish if it rests against your skin for any period of time whatever. With all the hours of labor I put into my projects, I want to keep them looking great, so I dip them several times, building up layers of protection. If you choose to dip your pieces, be sure to break apart the links after each time you dip them else the build-up could become too heavy to break apart without showing.

Great product at a great price.
I love this product for making rings easy to work with and does not look cheap. I have bought several and I will continue to buy more.

Scratches/pieces rubbed from the coating when it arrived & as the wire was used, coating came off.
I ordered the Artistic Wire in 18 ga in hematite. The wire arrived scratched in places and the coating chipped/rubbed off with the silver metal showing through. Also as I worked with the wire the hemetite colored coating came off even though I handled it with care and used the proper jewelry tools that were non-marring type. I have used this brand over the last 10+ years in silver, gold, & a bronze and never experienced the coating coming off in those colors.
