The webpage told me this was high temperature tape. And the picture originally showed a black tape. The tape I got is silver. There are no labels or part numbers on the roll, so I have no idea what specifications it meets. It IS very thick tape, which makes it difficult to conform over riveted seams of duct work. However it does seem to stick. I made my first use of it on a high temperature application last night. I tried to seal a seam on the exhaust pipe for my boiler. The seam was quite a distance from the boiler and doesn't get intolerably warm. But I would not want to hold my hand on it more than a minute or two. So we will see how well the adhesive holds up. If it does, I will ask Amazon to allow me to revise my review.

Price seemed good for the length of the roll as compared to others. The foil itself seemed thicker than similar rolls I have purchased in the past...that could be good or bad, depending on application. I think the adhesive is good but can’t say for sure as my only use so far was not exactly what the tape was made to do...I ran out of carpet seam tape and was using this stuff instead to patch together a larger carpet pad by augmenting from a second pad. Worked OK though!

Used this for the seams on my coal stove pipe. Works great. I got the black tape to match the color of pipe. Can probably use it for other applications.

It sticks! Ac vents

I used this to hold the insulation I installed on my garage door. It work pretty good, could have had better adhesions but I think it will last.I’ve used it for several other projects, very handy to have around.
