Good for Cheap Paint, Kids. Updated Review.
Updated Review: Summary: This is pretty decent paint if you are doing crafts with your kids or just having fun. Definitely give it a try and see if it works for your purposes. If you want something better than this, go with Folk Art over the Hissico Premium because it's just way too expensive to not be better than Folk Art. Full Details: So the seller reached out to me and offered a full refund plus to send me a new set and some other of their paint to try. I'm stunned by the customer service which automatically makes me suspicious. But the new paint arrived in a couple days and I have given it a fresh try. First off, gonna say, the seller did stand by their product. They did however tell me that this is "beginners" paint. Which I notice there's no mention in this listing of it being anything like that. That said, they stated this was because this version of their paint is focused on cost performance. That makes sense. From a price standpoint, it is very cheap. 37 cents per fl oz. Folk Art comes in around 67 cents per fl oz on Amazon depending on the listing. So cheaper paint, cheaper results. So now the testing. I took an unfinished wood scrap and painted it with three paints. Hissico, Hissico Premium, and Folk Art. Unequivably, Folk Art is the best. Hands down. It is thicker, richer, creamier, and one coat gave a better final look. That said, Hissico is not bad paint for this purpose. I found it much better than I had expected given my first experience. My guess is the metal I was working on, even with a primer, wasn't taking this paint well. It took Folk Art much better. But on wood, this paint seemed fine. It is what I would expect from a cheaper brand like Apple Barrel or Decoart, but that is what the company said they're trying to compete with. A beginner's paint. I prefer to call it kid's paint. Because it'd work great for kids crafts! That said, if you're crafting stuff for a finished look or for selling, please use a premium brand. I did try the Hissico Premium and while it is superior to the original HIssico, it is not as good as Folk Art, and for a higher price than Folk Art at 97 cents per fl oz. That's significantly pricier for a paint that isn't as good as the cheaper Folk Art. I'm including new pictures with the results from my test of these 3 types. All three were done with the same brush, and were done as a thin layer, intended to be just one coat, and let dry. None of them were given more or less attention or time. So you cn see for yourself which looks the best. I will say the Folk art *felt* the best going on. I didn't feel like I was fighting the medium at all. Original Review: I first tried these on a project that I primed first with matte primer in white. It took 5-6 coats to get a color anywhere near the color of the bottle even on yellow or orange on white primer! It's so thin and runny looking, it feels like I watered it down but I didn't! There's just no real substance to the pigments. I'm surprised because it seems there's good reviews, but I feel like I didn't get the same product as those people got! I tried to paint a little of the yellow over a bit of green that went astray and after 4 coats, I can still see the green so clearly. I've never had acrylics behave this way. It's so thin it's almost useless! I could have finished this product in a quarter of the time if I'd just bought Folk Art paints. :c So disappointed.

Worth the cost
The paint seems fine and the brushes were better than expected. While the paint won't really work for my purposes (model cars,) it appears it will for most art applications.

Great paint but glitter
Great paint for my miniatures but my warning is there's a bit of a glitter to it.
