Oxford Illustrated Shakespeare Dictionary Paperback – June 1, 2015

Wasn't sure what to expect. As I am only beginning what I hope will be a life long relationship, I am so pleased to have found this book.

Perfect for my needs — a great balance of visuals, complexity, simplicity, and variety. I am currently taking a course with Shakespeare-required reading and needed a supplement. After flipping through, it also feels like a gift idea for anyone whether they like Shakespeare or not!

Shakespeare’s books are magical. And, this book is Invaluable. This book serves as a pillar for his works. I love reading Shakespeare and I have gotten use to skimming some of the words, because, I read for me, not for study. But, I grew weary of skimming. So I got this. I love how it reads. It reads fun and easy and makes the stories even more magical.

This book conveys to the reader the importance of vocabulary and speech in our cultural history. By reading through it and the side-bars, we gain a fuller appreciation of the Old Bard.

This is a nice dictionary---not as detailed as some of the others the Crystals have published but appealing with color, pictures, and sidebar info panels. If you're looking for an easy-to-read dictionary to help you with Shakespeare's work, take a peek at this one!

This is a useful reference for anyone interested in studying Shakespeare. It is nicely Illustrated, complete, and an important reference for anyone wanting to truly understand Shakespeare's plays.

Very helpful for my daughter as she studies Shakespeare and as she works to learn lines for shows (it helps to know what you are actually saying).
