Has 3g dietary fiber and 3g soluble fiber per label. May help with weight loss due to feeling full and perhaps improved digestion. Not really sure about the weight loss aspect.

What are the ingredients in this product?

I can't guarantee it hasn't changed, but my carton says it's wheat dextrin. I first started, several years ago, with a small jar of Benefiber. Then I bought a big carton of Equate, and transferred some to the little Benefiber jar for convenience, so I still have that jar. It lists guar gum as the active ingredient. I don't know if the two products are different, or if the formulation has changed, or if wheat dextrin and guar gum are the same thing (which I seriously doubt).
