53743 Exhaust Pipe 2.25" Outlet (OD) for Ford Edge

Fixed the exhaust leek in my mothers 2008 ford edge. the flex pipe had rotted out at the weld and was super hard to see but I could hear how bad it was. the install was pretty straight forward. I dont think repairing it with a new flex pipe section would have been any cheaper, plus the pipe bends weird and I dont think it would have worked.If you have any doubts about doing this dont worry there are plenty of youtube videos out there and its mostly basic hand tools.I did run into some trouble with the down stream clamp. the factory bolt had rusted and I decided to cut the whole clamp off, I replaced it with a but joint exhaust clamp I picked up at the auto parts store. everything has been nice and quiet for the last 8 months so no issues I can see.

The pipe fit. Time will tell how well is holds up. The welds were really sloppy. Looked like I welded it and I can’t weld

2010 Edge is a difficult year to get parts for. Amazon fitment showed it fit, but it did not. Mine is the 2011 design. Make sure you check what the pipe looks like before ordering. Return was painless.

It was a perfect fit with no cutting. Had to be ordered from auto parts stores and was 40 dollars more for the same exact thing. Saved money and got it quicker.

Fits like a glove on my 2008 Ford Edge. Can’t go wrong with Walker pipes. Make sure you buy the gasket too. It does not come with a gasket.
