The soup is disgusting, beyond any word that can be used to describe how bad the taste is . Not worth a penny! My mom agrees. I love organic products, but this is one of the worse I bought on Amazon. Not even pigs would eat this soup! Simply, repulsive even when you add fresh mushrooms and or vegetables to it. Also, the presentation is misleading. Will not buy this again. If there was not other food to eat due to food shortages I would not recommend this soup.

I love miso soup and unfortunately this one was rather tasteless. I ended up using several packets at once with less water to even get a flavor in it. I will jsut keep trying to find the perfect one as the store where I used to buy my miso stopped selling it.......

The IMAGE on the product page is very misleading and dishonest. It tastes very unlike miso soup as I have ever experienced it. This dehydrated soup mix utterly fails to come alive when hot water is added. The tiny white bits (tofu?) fail to regain their former selves–they have a negligible presence. I see nothing seaweed-like in the soup.You could get to something miso-like with this if you add fresh tofu squares, green onions, table salt and seaweed to the hot water you pour into this mix. But at that point one might as well make the real thing. See the attached photos for visuals.I'd give 2 or 3 stars based on the respectable ingredients if the product weren't so misrepresented by Edward & Sons.

Vegan (no fish products), no sugar, no msg, 35 calories, 3 carbs per serving. $60 for twelve boxes comes out to $5 a box or $1.25 per two-serving envelope. That's a good price a little cheaper than the grocery store. Two-year expiration date so I'll definitely use them all. One packet makes a huge 20oz mug depending on how salty you like it. Just empty the packet in the cup and pour boiling water over it. I use a styrofoam cup so no dishes to wash. Very happy with this :)

This miso soup is exactly what I needed. It’s pretty basic boy you can add things to spice it up. I purchased dried seaweed and RawNori and I add that in along with fresh chopped green onion and a hard boiled egg or some clams. It’s extremely healthy with fermented broth and low calorie. It was not salty so you may want to add that in but I keep it healthy and don’t. There are four packs in each box making this a great deal price wise as well

This brand is tied with Eden foods (red miso soup) as my favorite instant miso. And considering it is about 1/3 the cost of Eden foods, that's really saying something!I believe most of the negative reviews come from people's experience with miso soup at restaurants in the US. What they are expecting is the overly salty miso you get at most Japanese restaurants that are not very traditional.I like this miso because, as far as instant misos go, the flavor is as authentic and as close to homemade Japanese miso soup as you can get.I highly recommend it.

Miso flavored water with other items that look like garbage. You look at picture on package and look at what is in your bowl and the two are not even long lost cousins. You have things floating in water that look exactly like bark off of a tree and parts of dirt. Nothing resembling tofu can be found. Would not even recommend if there was an apocalypse on earth and this was the last food found.

I am so glad I found an Organic MisoSoup mix. I fell in love with this little soup when I vacationed in Hawaii, but haven't been able to find any Organic locally. I also add a 1 to 2 Tsp of Organic Meso Paste, 3 Tbsp of Coconut Milk, and 1Tbsp of Coconut Oil to the cup. I have this every morning for breakfast, or if I eat a regular breakfast, I have it for lunch. The Coconut milk, and oil make it really tasty.
