Really happy with the quality of this product. It was easy to install and the adhesive seems like it'll be strong (I only installed it a few weeks ago so time will tell). They look nice on the cabinets, and I like how I can undo it with one hand (parents know how important that it).

The adjustable width makes them versatile for different cabinets and drawers. Adhesive holds well on clean, dry, flat surfaces. Tip: They don’t stick securely to curved surfaces, so placement matters for best results. Bottom line: Simple, effective, and convenient child-proofing when installed on flat surfaces. Love these so much. Our little one is so curious and always into things and he hasn’t learned how to open these yet. They were very easy to put together and stick well. I have put these on all different doors and drawers and are easy to fit to anything. The band is wide enough that you can put it on far apart doors. Lock is sturdy and not easy for little hands to get apart. Very functional and a great price.

I installed this today on my refrigerator to keep my toddler out, and so far they're doing exactly what I needed. The pack comes with 8 locks which was helpful since I plan to use the extras on other cabinets. Installation was quick and easy and instructions were simple to follow. The adhesive seems strong, and the lock feels secure when opening and closing the fridge normally. What I really like is that it's still easy for my older child and adults to use, but not obvious or accessible for a toddler. Placement does matter though- taking the time to line it up correctly makes a difference in how smoothly it latches. Since its only been installed for a day, I can't speak to long-term durability yet. Overall, this seems like a solid, affordable option for basic childproofing

This is a review of the Baby Proofing Child Safety Locks (12 Pack) by Skyla Homes. Plenty of people have done reviews showing how easy these are to install, how well they work blah, blah blah. So I figured I'd cover the realistic removal. We've had these installed for about three years to protect grandchildren. They worked well and were easy to install. We have newer cabinets in the kitchen and the original dark stained 70s cabinets in the bathrooms. I was a bit concerned that taking these off the older cabinets might remove the stain or damage it in some way. I was also concerned that these might be difficult for me to remove, because I have some nerve damage in my dominant hand. TOOLS: I used a plastic paint scraper and a hairdryer AND I was able to do it without any help from someone who doesn't have nerve damage. PROCESS: A few seconds of high heat from the hair dryer, moving it halfway in-between to get both sides. Then I would use the paint scraper from corner and pry up & out. Sometimes the entire unit came off, sticky and all. Sometimes little bits would be stuck to the wood. I found it easy to peel off, especially using part of the other sticky stuff to help pull it up. Any remaining residue, which was only in maybe two places, came off easily with 70% isopropyl alcohol on a cotton ball. If I can do it most people should be able to it. * I would be reticent to use a metal scraper, because you are much more likely to gouge the wood accidentally if you slip. ** This review was for wood cabinets, not painted surfaces.
