Aftermarket charger
Works great for my 18v drill. I think I accidentally threw out the original charger when I cleaned the garage up a year ago and couldn’t find an original hitachi charger online. Charges both batteries in about 45 minutes. *trump approves this message*

Initial review , so far so good.
In use for a few days with original BSL Hitachi batteries. Worked well on the smaller and larger capacity size. I tried to charge two I had marked defective. Detected as defective. Hope this one lasts. My original Hitachi charger lasted over 10 years before it failed a few weeks ago.

Worked perfectly for my off-brand Metabo batteries
I originally bought what I thought was a compatible off-brand charger, but I had problems with it... which led me to buy this one. I have a Metabo HPT trim router that I bought some compatible off-brand batteries for, and this charges the batteries perfectly. I have had it for several months now, and so far I have had zero issues with this charger, and I have been very happy with its performance. Just an FYI - the red charging light (the bar above the main sticker) blinks red until a battery is charging. So if it is just sitting on your workbench with nothing in it, it will be blinking red. None of the chargers I have for my other brand-name tools does that, but this charger sits in my garage and a blinking light doesn't affect me one way or another. Overall - it does what should and does it well. Would buy again.
