So I'll admit I originally bought these socks because I am an avid rollerblade (yes, I rollerblade for exercise) and my doctor recommended some toe separators to help with any pain in my feet and/or callouses that may be caused by my exercise routine. I was honestly pretty skeptical when it comes to ordering a product like this over the internet since I'm not able to really check out the quality of the product before I'm about to purchase, however, socks are honestly one of those items you're usually not able to try on in store anyways. They may even be the best socks that I have ever owned! They arrived quickly, two short days later packaged in a plastic bag and wrapped up nicely. They're made of a luxurious cotton and spandex fabric that is very thick and warm on my feet as well. The socks are stretchy and are actually very comfortable to wear as well. I love the way my toes feel being stretched when I wear them, as weird as that sounds.The cuff around the ankle seems to be fairly high-quality cabling, so there really is no chance of it breaking or wearing/stretching out, which was a concern of mine. The socks fit snuggly to your feet, and really does keep them incredibly warm. Since they stretch, they can be worn by anyone that wears a size 4-13 shoe, men or women. I'm a 5'5 woman with a size 8.5 foot and they are perfect for me! I absolutely love running around the house with them on as well...hahahha!These will also be great for giving myself a pedicure! The one downside to these socks is that they are so thick, you can't wear them with shoes and/or boots. They also advertise in helping relieve the pain of bunions and calluses. I work at a desk most of the day but do workout/rollerblade on my feel for a minimum of an hour every day so it's great when I get home and finally get to put them on. Putting these socks on after a long day is like giving my feet their own spa treatment when I get home. I wouldn't go so far as to call these "comfy," because there's so much material crammed between your toes, and it's not something you can ignore. I guess that's the whole point of these socks though. I already had silicone toe spacers, but they have their drawbacks as well--namely, that they stick to the floor and pick up all kinds of hair, lint, and dirt. So I figured I would try these, and they turned out to be okay---not bad, not terrific. I wish they didn't extend so far up the ankle, though, because I think it's uncomfortable to have a lot of (a) bulk, and (b) constriction around my ankles.I can see these coming in very handy when painting toes. Might as well be cozy....no need to endure cold feet while painting your toesies...For the record, I am an average-build female, with US Women's size 8.5 feet, medium width. These socks are purportedly unisex, but I kind of doubt they'd be comfortable for people with long or extra wide feet---they just seem a little narrow and constricting---but maybe that's just my weird pet peeve. They're extremely comfortable and cushiony. They may take a little bit of getting used to especially with the separation of the toes. I felt that they were completely fine on my feet.
