Good value for a good amount of EPA and DHA
Omega Via is an excellent fish Oil with TOT value that is independently tested by consumer lab. I really thing it helps with my triglycerides. We do eat salmon about twice a week besides taking Omega's products. We know its working as my husband and I took the Omega Quant test and we were above 10 which is great.

This is my go-to brand for my Omega 3!
I have been taking Omega 3 for about 1 year now, and began taking it when I started my weight loss journey in July of 2014. I kept reading about how much energy I would have, but honestly, I never really felt the proclaimed energy I anticipated feeling. I figured I just wasn't supposed to "feel" the energy, like a cup of coffee, so I just accepted it, but I did keep taking it because of its health benefits (i.e., heart health, reduces triglycerides, RA, general brain function, etc). One day on Amazon, I was searching for a new Omega 3 as I had not yet developed any loyalty to one certain brand. I ran across a review in which someone had reviewed 8-10 different Omega 3 products, listing all of their pros and cons. It was interesting, albeit a little confusing, as in there was NO "perfect" product. In the end, I chose OmegaVia off of his list of evaluations and I have not been sorry. I just purchased my 2nd bottle and think I finally found a "home". I was surprised at how it actually made me feel better - I feel like I can even focus better, I feel a bit more energy, and feel better than I have felt with any other brand I have tried either here on Amazon or other places. (I did like Wiley's, though, but feel this one may be even more superior.) With 1105mg of Omega 3 and 780mg of EPA, it has one of the highest concentrations available. It also has an enteric coating, so no fishy taste, no fish burps and no odd after tastes. Overall, I think it is a fantastic product. Out of all the other Omega 3 products that I tried, this one was the most impressive.

No fishy taste or burps.!!
This is the best Omega-3 I have tried. There is no fishy taste or burps. It is a large capsule but I have not had trouble taking it. It is well worth the price.

A bit expensive, but worth it
I have been checking around and these are the facts that made me decide to purchase and recommend OmegaVia fish oil instead of the other brands. Pros 1) Highest omega 3/serving. OmegaVia has the highest total Omega 3 per ONE capsule compared to other brands. So you take less pills.( Total: 1105 mg with EPA: 780mg, DHA: 260mg). Most other brands that comes close, usually requires two capsules/serving. 2) Made and sourced in the USA and sustainable certified. OmegaVia is certified sustainable from Marine Stewardship Council. The product is made from Whiting and Pollock from Alaska, USA. Others, sourced from other countries anywhere from Norway to Peru to Canada. My main concern is the brands that do not list their country they sourced their fish from might be coming from China. 3) The enteric capsule gelatin shell is made from Kosher/Halal bovine gelatin, which to me, is a bonus.(Listed ingredients: Gelatin,Purified Water,Glycerin,Natural Enteric Coating,Mixed Natural Tocopherols) Cons. 1) Expensive. 2) Capsule size is slightly large. To me, it is a non-issue for it is about the same size of a multi-vitamin that I am also currently taking. Pure Synergy Organic Super B Complex - 60 Tabs Just in case, I should caution that if you have trouble swallowing, this is definitely not for you. In conclusion, I am very happy with this brand. I am currently on my second bottle. Last cholesterol check in January, my total cholesterol number was 104, with LDL of 31. I am sure it is also because I try to eat healthy. But I am also sure that this supplement helps. I highly recommend this product.

Gives mood/energy boost but long-term use could cause insomnia
I've been taking this for about a year but recently switched to a less potent brand (more on that in a moment). I started taking this after my last physical as my doctor recommended a high-strength fish oil to lower my LDL and triglycerides. I would take a single pill each morning, making the bottle last for two months. When I started taking this I noticed a pretty decent boost in mood and energy throughout the day. I found myself being in an overall more upbeat mood and I also had significantly less daytime sleepiness (I ride a bus 45 minutes each way to work and would typically nod off during the ride, but once I started taking this I was always wide awake). After a few months of taking this, though, I started to wake up very early in the morning (usually between 2 and 3 AM). At first I was easily able to get back to sleep so I didn't worry about it, but as the months went on the insomnia kept getting worse and I had a more difficult time getting back to sleep. Since it had started such a long time after starting the fish oil I didn't make the connection until I randomly purchased an even more potent brand from Amazon (Pacific Coast Nutrition) and the insomnia got significantly worse. I switched back to OmegaVia after about two weeks on the other brand and while the insomnia was somewhat better, I was still waking up at about 2 AM and drifting in and out of sleep for the remainder of the night. I was now highly suspicious that the fish oil was the ultimate culprit so I switched to Nature Made fish oil which has about half of the EPA that OmegaVia does. According to some studies, EPA is the component of fish oil that boosts mood and energy so it makes sense that the lower dosage of EPA would help the insomnia. After just one day/night of taking the less potent fish oil instead of this stuff I slept soundly through the night for the first time in months. I'll keep monitoring my EPA/DHA dosage and sleep patterns and update this review if I discover anything new. While many people may not get this side effect, be aware that if you start to suffer insomnia after taking this (or any other high-potentcy fish oil) for an extended period of time the high EPA may be the cause. UPDATE 11/10/2015: After some more trial and error I'm upping this review to four stars. Whatever the cause of the insomnia was, I don't believe it was this fish oil, as I've tried taking it again a few times and didn't notice a difference in my sleeping pattern. I've also removed a factually incorrect statement I made about DHA reducing triglycerides; it is actually EPA that does this.

Great for muscle soreness
If I take a couple of these before I work out, my muscles feel so much better afterwards! I’ll be insanely sore for days without them, but with them I barely feel anything. I didn’t even buy fish oil for that purpose, I just noticed it’s one of the benefits. They don’t taste or smell bad and I don’t get fish burps. I’ve bought them three times because they’re the best I’ve found!

High Quality EPA + DHA Omega-3 Supplement
I've recently started taking various supplements, including two Omega-3 Fish Oil products - this OmegaVia fish oil supplement, and another product from OmegaVia - their EPA 500 Pharmaceutical Grade EPA Omega-3 supplement . I take one gel of each daily to provide a suitable supplement of all forms of Omega-3. These 'softgel' capsules are relatively large and contain a healthy dosage of Omega-3 -- 1105 mg total Omega-3, with 780 mg EPA Omega-3, 260 mg DHA Omega-3, and 65 mg 'other' Omega-3. The large quantity of Omega-3 avoids the need to take multiple capsules in order to get the same total dosage. There are a wide variety of Omega-3 supplement products available on Amazon and elsewhere. I selected this product for the following reasons: - this OmegaVia Omega-3 supplement is independently tested for purity and potency by IFOS - the "International Fish Oil Standards Program" - to provide assurance that it contains what is claimed. I feel that this is very important. - this is a US-made product - percentage of EPA Omega-3 per capsule is very high (85%) so that the capsule size is not unnecessarily large in order to contain the amount of fish oil and Omega-3 to be delivered - capsules are enteric coated - cost per capsule is reasonable and competitive For a very comprehensive technical comparison of this product to other Omega-3 supplements available on Amazon, I recommend reading RWM's review. He has provided a very extensive analysis. I'm also impressed that OmegaVia has a very informative website with considerable information on the company and its products. The company executives are all identified, the company address is given, and contact information is provided. This is a welcome display of transparency in an industry where many companies seem to be selling questionable products and provide very limited information regarding their operations. The company also sells direct from their website - pricing is competitive with Amazon if you order multiple quantities, and shipping is free. I have not yet used these supplements for sufficient time to determine whether or not they are effective in reducing my triglycerides as claimed. I do not have a triglycerides problem but decided to take supplements as part of an overall program to improve my health and avoid problems as I grow older. I will update this review in 6 months or so if there is anything significant to mention regarding any effect I may see in my own health.
