Cute idea for a 'poor man's safe.' Not sure I'd keep the Hope Diamond in here, but pretty useful for storing spare keys or information you don't want to lose. It's fun

This looks great as long as no one looks at the bottom of the can. If you really need a great hiding spot that can trick even under scrutiny, I have a few suggestions. First of all you want it to feel weighted. If someone picks it up & it doesn’t feel heavy like a can of vegetables they will know something is off. So I put some heavy items inside. I added scale weights wrapped in paper towels. That added weight with the paper towels keep them from clinking around. Secondly, I let dust settle on the top of the can. That makes it look like an old can you haven’t gotten around to. Make sure not to leave fingerprints in the dust once it’s accumulated on the can. You don’t want the can to look like it’s been recently handled. So lift from the side. Mine looks & feels like a legit old can of corn. You don’t want any piggies snuffling around. Happy hiding.

Unless you picked it up and felt the weight you would be convinced it was a can of corn!

I deducted a star because the label stands out with less saturated colours and lower resolution print than a real product. But it would probably fool the casual observer, and you could always replace the label using a real product.
