Fantastic for wounds to protect & keep clean and dry easily!
This is truly amazing and well worth having on hand in your first aid kit. It comes in a roll and in multiple sizes so it’s easily portable. I used scissors to cut it to the length I needed. It is clear, breathable and adheres very well even when getting wet or sweaty at the sandy beach! The appearance is similar to Saran Wrap except better. You can order it in various sizes to cover whatever wound you have. I am sensitive to adhesives but this one did not cause a problem for me which is impressive. I used this to cover stitches and to keep them waterproof while on vacation. It stayed on me without letting in any water! It stays stuck and protects your wound easily when sleeping too. Some bandages will catch on the bedding but this one just coasts over the sheets and blankets. This is definitely one of my new favorite first aid items to have on hand. To apply this is a two step process. You first peel of a little strip of the backing, place it on your skin, then pull off the rest of the backing. The blue strips are the top of the bandage which you remove AFTER adhering it over your wound. Now you have a clear bandage over your wound that is foolproof, comfortable and breathable.

great product!
I LOVE this stuff! It sticks great and does not leave a residue. It come off easily with a bit of pull, is waterproof and so thin you can barely see it! My skin did not get itchy and it is very flexible!

Best option to Tegaderm patches
The amount of super expensive bandaids we go through is ridiculous. This is much better for my accident prone children. Just cut to size, make sure the wound is clean and the skin around it as well. This will NOT stick to damp or sweaty skin. At all. So wash and dry, add some ointment and a gauze patch, and then peel and stick this on. Amazing and keeps the wound free from germs and is water proof.

Geat product, if you're prepared
This is more of a preperation warning than a review. Got a new tattoo of my late father's handprint as his "arm is always around me", so it's not in an easy location to tend to meself. Artist sent me home with 2 sheets of Saniderm. 1st sheet worked well, 2nd sheet the wife accidentally messed up, but it lasted a day. So we opened this that I'd already ordered just in case. I needed a product that was big enough in width to cover a hand. Lots of good reviews so I crossed my fingers. Product works great. It was actually more comfortable than the Saniderm. I played 2 hockey games wearing it, went fishing all day, and did some construction work while wearing the sheet for 5 days. Today, about an hour ago my wife peeled it off for me while I was in the shower. Washed it good with Dial soap and was happy. I dried off and I was no longer happy. STICKY RESIDUE!!!! The entire area was a square of glue. Not a little, I mean it could hold weight if something was pressed against it. After reading the internet though I had my wife rub the area really good with coconut oil we had, and I jumped back in the shower with a bottle of Olive Oil. Washed with Dial, rubbed good with Olive Oil. I did this process about 3 times. The residue is now gone. So long story short, the stuff works great on a tattoo. I would use it again. BUT, have some olive oil or coconut oil at the ready the day you remove it. If you dont, my guess is you'll be very very sorry. Mind you, if it was a smaller tattoo or a different location, it might not be as bad. But I cant even imagine if I'd put a shirt on. Never even tried. Great product, if you're prepared.

Fancy Contact Paper. 😂
This works great! I like that it’s able to be cut to any size. It sticks well, yet not TOO well that it doesn’t remove easily.)** I prefer using this instead of tape or Band-Aids for that reason alone — it’s wonderful for sensitive areas of the skin. I’ve experienced no adverse reactions to the adhesive. It holds up well in the shower but, sometimes, NOT through excessive body heat over the course of the day. (**I’ve noticed that it’ll melt to/stick to the skin and somewhat disintegrate — making it difficult to remove later. Rubbing alcohol seems to break-up the adhesive and help it to detach from the skin at that point.) I DO find it cumbersome to un-peel and apply, though. Unless you have good eyesight, lots of patience and a longer fingernail to use in separating the plastic/vinyl layers, it’s nearly impossible to get to the flimsy, ‘sticky’ layer! It DOES take lots of practice to get the hang of and I would suggest practicing with this stuff BEFORE its usage becomes necessary around a wound. For even somewhat difficult-to-reach areas, another pair of hands are highly recommended. As it is my first time ever using this stuff (and my first few applications bombed) and there were no clear directions included with the roll, I asked fellow Amazon shoppers to offer some guidance… Basically, ‘trial-and-error’ and ‘patience/practice’ were the responses I received. However, the best advice offered was to remove the white layer FIRST, apply the adhesive side to the wound or bandage, THEN peel-off the clear layer. That tip alone made it so much easier to do! UPDATE : I have finally gotten the hang of this stuff and must say: it works great and is so versatile! I only used it as a full bandage cover for about a week. After that, I cut off 2” strips and then cut those in half. I used the smaller pieces to secure each side of my padded wound cover (made my own band-aid). They had enough ‘sticky’ to keep the gauze pad secured for over 24 hours. Unlike adhesive bandages and medical tape, this caused no adverse skin reactions on my sensitive skin. (Oftentimes, I’d wind up with a WORSE condition than the one I was covering if I used those things.) Because of its versatility, I will be buying different sizes to keep in my first-aid kits! Suggestion, though: don’t do as I did and trim ALL of your fingernails short! While you’re needing to use this film, keep at least ONE peeling fingernail longer for easier application.

NOT HYPOALLERGENIC!
The product works great and is waterproof. However, sometimes it’s hard to remove the top paper and it wrinkles. Also, it’s difficult to remove and leaves me with a painful red mark. The reason I’m giving it 3 stars & not 5 is because it’s NOT HYPOALLERGENIC! It makes me itch like crazy, even after I rip it off. I use this to secure an estrogen patch which is not very secure. I put this over it & the patch doesn’t fall off. I use a patch 2x a week, so they (and this adhesive) stay on for 3 or 4 days. But, like I said, by day 2, I want to rip it off because of the intense irritation. If you were using it for a wound, it would be very painful to remove, and possibly itch like crazy. I’m going to write to the company to tell them that they need to say it’s not hypoallergenic.

Great
Ok so hear me out, my son’s ears lack cartilage and flap over when sleeping. I use this tape to tape down his ears at night so he can sleep comfortably. The adhesive is fantastic considering he moves a lot in his sleep. It doesn’t irritate his eczema prone skin and doesn’t leave any adhesive residue. This is my third time purchasing.

Essential for Protecting Dialysis Catheter - Waterproof and Reliable
We used this transparent dressing (the 8" X 5.47 yards) to cover my husband's dialysis tunnel catheter site on his chest, and it was a game changer for allowing him to shower safely without worrying about getting it wet. Waterproof & Reliable: It sticks securely and keeps the area completely dry, even with full showers. The adhesive holds well without peeling prematurely. We placed a folded piece of paper towel so that it would not stick directly to the dialysis catheter dressing, but then the edges stuck securely to his skin providing a great barrier. Size & Coverage: The 8" width provided plenty of material, allowing us to cut exactly the size that we needed. We just cut to the length that we needed. Ease of Use & Comfort: It's easy to apply and remove without irritating the skin. The transparent design also allowed us to monitor the site without removing the dressing, which was incredibly helpful. Value & Quality: For anyone needing reliable, waterproof protection for medical lines or similar uses, this dressing is high-quality and excellent value. I would recommend for anyone that needs a safe waterproof solution - especially for dialysis central lines, or similar medical needs.
