Got this next-day - nothing like instant gratification. It arrived double-boxed, plus Amazon's shipping box, though Amazon's tape just barely held. Because of its off-size and heavy weight, Amazon should triple-tape it. I just used it this morning, so I will modify my rating over time if necessary. First, why I bought this. After all, I have a very nice Omega Juicer I've been totally pleased with for over a decade, still going strong. But it's overkill and time-consuming for a quick lemon or orange juicing, plus cleanup. It's excellent for a lot of juicing, but not quick one-offs like this citrus press. And I recently decided to dump sodas in favor of iced lemon-water, and also to drink a mixture of lemon/olive oil/honey in hot water first thing in the morning. You get older, mortality is tapping you on the shoulder, and I want to say Not Yet. I wanted something quicker and easier for use in these specific circumstances. After checking the reviews on competing products, I found the Zulay to have more people with a higher top rating than others, so sprang for it. I also liked the way it looked built and considered the pros and cons in reviews. I was afraid I'd have buyer's remorse: yet another kitchen gadget? But instead, I became convinced it was exactly what I needed and I'd actually use it. Pros: 1. It really is easy to clean the removable stainless steel parts. Just turn to unlock them from their little notches and they come right out. If you have a sprayer - that might be all you need. 2. They don't intend for you to remove the upper aluminum cone: just spritz it with a little water, wipe off. Easy. 3. While it does take a little more effort than I expected to finish squeezing the press, it's not bad. I'm pushing 70 and I can do it. 4. It certainly appears to be built to last a lifetime. It is solidly made. I love things that look over-built. 5. I bought the "gray" cast iron look instead of the painted ones. I'm not confident of any paint on most surfaces where food can come in contact with a kitchen device, and in addition, my taste in colors might change, or my kitchen colors might change. And I personally like the industrial/commercial look it has. And pretty as it might look, I would stay away from the chrome. While chrome technically doesn't rust, the underlying steel or cast iron will, and you're talking a wet environment in the kitchen, along with citrus acid. 6. I didn't realize it had a lifetime warranty. I like that, even though I know that "lifetime" really only means the lifetime of the company. Nevertheless, it gives me confidence that the company stands behind their product. Just register it. 7. Pomegranates! I'd never even considered there was a better way to deal with this fruit. I'm looking forward to trying this. Some decent reviews here on this interesting application for this press. Cons: 1. Zulay really should include a cheap Allen wrench to adjust the screws. I already have a set, but if you don't, you're going to want one. Mine arrived a little loose, and it will probably take some time to adjust the screws to my liking for both ease of travel, while not flopping down, but without being too hard to press. The one video showing it dropping like a rock is because the screws were loose: it's not a fair concern. At any rate, ease of travel vs the difficulty of the actual press requires the Allen wrench. That's going to vary according to the customer. 2. As even the videos show and nearly everyone has said, it will tip unless you use your other hand to steady the rear of the base. I don't find this a big deal, and it's not much effort to steady it that way. Suction cups would probably be adequate, as another competitor has - but then you have to unstick the suction cups, if this press doesn't have a permanent place on your counter. Mine will stay out while at home, but I'm still happy that it's easy to move rather than more stuck to the surface. And in my particular case - I'm going camping with it in my little trailer, so it needs to move when not in use. 3. I would like to see Zulay make the upper press cone which comes in contact with the top of the fruit, stainless steel as well, and removeable. This could be a notch-and-turn similar (if a little more tight) to the bottom 2 pieces. Despite assurances to the contrary by the health system, I'm not comfortable with aluminum and food, plus aluminum warps easily if stressed. This is a personal opinion, but I'm sharing it anyway. However, the cone is designed for the fruit and not likely to get warped, and it only is in contact with the top of the fruit, which you're likely throwing away. 4. Another reviewer mentioned misalignment. This is rather interesting, and I've taken pictures to try and show what's happening. Basically, it is misaligned at the top of the travel, until you reach the point where you're actually pressing on the fruit, at which point it is almost perfectly aligned. So, yes it is - but no, it isn't, lol. So - Top of Travel = handle all the way up. Bottom of Travel, handle fully pressed down. It IS off just a touch, at least on my unit, but having seen it in action, I don't see this as much of a defect. None of these cons are worth taking a star off for. Taken altogether, I might take a half-star off for them. But none of them came even close to being deal-killers, or make me wish I'd bought something else. So, if you're in the market for a citrus press, or perhaps a pomegranate press, and you think you'll use it a lot, I'd say it's worth the investment. I intend mine to be twice-daily - and now that I've bought it, I need to justify the expense, lol.

This thing is great. Very sturdy, easy to use, and powerful. No mess and very easy to clean. I bought it for making fresh lemonade. Trying to get away from mass produced soft drinks full of sugar and chemicals. Absolutely wonderful ice cold refreshment on a hot summer day.

We purchased this a few months ago and waited until we juiced a few hundred fruits to write a review. Here's what to expect and our thoughts on other reviews we read: It totally works as advertised -- we've juiced limes, lemons, oranges and tried pressing non citrus fruits because, hey, why not? You get a high yield and if after juicing, you strain it to remove pulp and only slight amounts of pith, it's just totally solid. The bottom line is we're big fans, but here are some considerations to see if it's right for you: 1) It's heavy -- about 15lb / .45kg, so keep this in mind for storage and access. We put ours on top of a fridge when we're not using it, so only one of us can take it down/put it away 2) It's very sturdy, but you're pulling the lever in a forward arc, so you still have to place a free hand firmly on the juicer to prevent it from tilting forward -- we use the rectangular shaped area at the top/back of the juicer. If you place it on your kitchen counter, and have to put your hand on the back to hold it steady, though, you're going to struggle handling this if you're shorter than 5'5" (approximating here, but hopefully this helps). And Zulay, if you're listening, consider how to add more weight/stability to the rear of the unit to address this in future models. 3) The lever is heavy and sturdy, so I understand people's concern for safety by leaving it in the upright position, but it is slightly balanced more than 90 degrees in the other direction, so my guess is, "if" it is falling forward, people are bumping into it more than gravity taking over. Be alert/careful, but we ourselves are not overly concerned by this. 4) Maybe this should have been ranked higher, but you do not have to be very strong to use it. It's heavy to move around, we definitely need to hold it steady, but don't mistake the feedback for needing to be a body builder to crush a fruit. The hinges and weight do all the work until the last 1-2 inches of pressing. It requires a little strength, but very non-athletic, non strong people should still be able to press through the fruit. 5) Cleanliness and Cleaning -- You don't need an apron per se, but small amounts of juice will spray out of the sides when pressing, so either slow it down to contain the juice, or prepare to wipe up with a quarter sheet of paper towel when you're done, and of course wipe down the exterior because the acidity will probably cut through the lacquer at some point. The press essentially has three main pieces to clean - the steel press, and the two base pieces (and upside cone-like piece and funnel). The latter two are simple to clean -- they drip of course, but you take them out, wash them off and boom, but the press is attached to the unit so it's a little harder to clean. It's only touching the outside of fruit, but still... 6) We've heard the paint is chipping on some units and landing in your juice. This sounds terrible but we're not seeing it. Our guess is it's either defective units or the acid from the citrus is causing chipping over time, but if you use a wet sponge...we'll have to see, but we're not terribly concerned about this. Our hands are less cramped, we're juicing more limes faster, and here's a trick, we're filling ice cube trays with 1-oz pours of lime juice and freezing them so we can pull them out one margarita at a time and make the juice last longer. I own/have owned 4 citrus juicers including this one: a Nama J2 w/ citrus attachment, a Eurolux Electric Citrus Juicer, and a Breville Citrus Press Pro, not including handheld juice squeezers as well. Pros: - Easy cleanup. Only 2 parts to clean, and by far the fastest of all of my citrus juicers to clean. Citrus juicers in general are easier to clean than cold press or centrifugal juicers, but this one is still pretty quick even by these standards. The Eurolux takes maybe 30 seconds longer (1.5 mins to clean for the Zulay vs. ~2 mins for the Eurolux). - Lifetime warranty / good build quality: there are no electric parts, and so there are arguably fewer failure points. - Versatility in juicing: I’ve found myself going for this juicer even if I just need 1 juiced lime or a couple of juiced lemons for cooking vs. my handheld squeezer simply because it’s so easy to clean. Cons: - Juice yield is worse than other citrus juicers. Although it’s great at getting juice out of small fruits like lemons and limes, I find that even on oranges it’s incapable of wringing the juice out of the outer perimeter of the orange halves. Unlike other juicers that have augers with wider diameters, this one’s is narrower. I’m probably leaving 10-15% of juice behind vs. something that’s even half the price (at this time of this writing) like the Eurolux. - More of the rind enters the juice than in other juicers. Because this is just using downwards force and the plunger has a sharp perimeter, it cuts into larger fruits, sometimes pressing some of the rind through the seed catcher and into the juice itself. Other observations: - Although I’m happy with the size and weight of the unit, make sure you have enough space for it. It’s heavy enough that some people may not want to pull it out of storage to use it. But it’s large enough that some people may not want it permanently on their counter (I don’t mind, though). - I wish this has more of a counterweight. It’s easy for the device to tilt forward when pulling down unless you hold the back part of the juicer down. Not a huge deal, but worth noting. In short: I would recommend this juicer for anyone who’s mostly looking to juice smaller citrus fruits: tangerines, limes, lemons, etc. Anything bigger - oranges, grapefruits, pomegranates, etc - and you’re leaving more juice behind vs. most non-cast iron juicers. My Nama is fantastic, but it’s a $500 juicer + $100 citrus attachment. The Breville I used to have was great, but broke down after a couple of years, which is unacceptable for a $250 machine. I’m really enjoying my Eurolux electric juicer, but at $50 I’m not confident about its longevity. There are many other juicers that are more expensive than the Eurolux, but less expensive than the Nama, that I’d suggest considering over this if looking to juice oranges. But even if this is the only device you decide to get, you’ll probably be decently happy with it.

This thing is great. After juicing 30 limes by hand the other day, I bought this. I have been enjoying a fresh squeezed grapefruit juice, orange juice, and today I made fresh squeezed lemonade. Highly recommend.

We absolutely love this juicer in my household, my husband even enjoys juicing fruit! Very easy to use and way easier to clean vs an automatic juicer! Definitely recommend getting!

This was a gift for a pre-teen who say it on one of the apps. Not he's constantly juicing oranges! Seriously, this makes the best OJ I've ever had, were going to start experimenting with other fruits to find what we've been missing.

Pochi minuti per spremere una cassetta di limoni. Non ancora provata col melograno ma sono pronto a farmi stupire. Equilibrio ed estetica eccellenti, facilità di utilizzo sorprendente (non necessità di alcuna forza), pulizia rapidissima. Andando a cercare il pelo nell'uovo: - la chiavetta per regolare l'altezza dei vari bracci è troppo debole e rischia di spanare le viti (tutto sommato però, meglio non regolare nessun altezza e non rischiare di sfasare la posizione corretta della leva). - devi trovare un recipiente adatto ad entrare tra le gambe dello spremiagrumi (probabilmente solo la minoranza di quelli che hai a casa andranno bene, ma te ne farai una ragione). - se non hai una cucina spaziosa, fuori stagione lo spremiagrumi risulta un po' ingombrante. Nel complesso comunque, molto molto soddisfatti.

The product itself is a good design and reasonable quality but the base arrived bent so it would not sit flat on the bench top. I sent it back because of this. Will consider reordering but hope they won’t send me the same one again….

El exprimidos cumplió mis expectativas. En la primera experiencia pude exprimir 60 kilos de naranja para elaborar licor. Es bastante potente y no requiere gran esfuerzo en la labor. Fue importante aprender a calibrar la fuerza, para que el zumo (aceite) de la cáscara no salga en exceso y el jugo no adquiera ese sabor. En cuento a la calidad de los materiales y la estructura y el diseño estoy satisfecho, creo que su resistencia es suficiente para un uso demandante en temporadas de cosecha.
