I believe this tint is 67%VLT...lets say 70% so the answer would be this tint comes out to 30% tints. In other words, No this tint is not as dark as your 5% (limo tints) where you wont see anything or anyone. This tint is chameleon and it provides different shades at different angles and times of the day. There are times where you can almost see nothing in the car and times where you can from the outside. For instance, when its raining it almost acts as a reflective tint from outside and can barley see anything. However, as the driver of the car or anyone inside of the car you can see VERY clearly. In many states, it's illegal without a doctors prescription and in some, Law Enforcement don't care excuse or, not. I live in Indiana and have or, was, pulled over many times only to be threatened of having my car impounded for it and fined, $254.00. However, after the warning ticket and State Laws about window tinting, I found a loophole in it that they never seem to highlight. In some lower, subparagraphs, I read that a doctors prescribe excuse makes it legal. I have Photophobia and therefore, I went to my optometrist, told him about it and he wrote me out a prescription for having my windshield tinted. Now, all I have to do is renew that prescription every year and take it to the locals authorities and have them make a copy of it. I'm good to go. Actually, unless you're tinting them yourself, it's illegal for any tinting service to tint them without you showing them a prescription from a doctor. This is for the windshield, only. By-the-way, 5% is not limo tint, it's light and only blocks the UV rays and doesn't truly add any darkness to the windshield. If you limo tint the rest of them, then, it may look darker than it actually is. Law Enforcement has a meter mounted like a dash radar that can electronically determine the darkness by number of the window tint on your vehicle and as well as, a hand held device. There's also a black letter/number on the top left of your windshield (looking at it from the inside drivers seat) that regulates just how far down your vehicle is allowable for tinting. Just be warned about this and check with your doctor if you wear glasses and have any astigmatism for them. I have 2.1 transitional lenses in mine and when I get into the Sun, they darken really fast and look as if I'm wearing dark-boy sunglasses.
