Four Years of Use Review - Good Buy
I usually buy top quality cookware. I went through Magnalite which didn't turn out to be very good. I then bought Caphalon pans which were excellent and nicely priced but have come to the end of their life and the new "Contemporary" line of Caphalon is much lighter than what I wanted to replace. So I came to look at the top line of Anolon 12" and 10" pans but together they cost $135 on Amazon which is $85 more than this set. I'm reluctantly coming to the conclusion that non-stick pans have their limitations .... You can't use high heat and they have fairly short life spans no matter how well you care for them. The heat limitation kind of makes the weight or build quality meaningless. The only factor is how long they stay non-stick. I just couldn't pull the trigger on the heavy $135 pair of pans. These pans are lighter weight but they're well made. I have a Caphalon 10" omlet pan which is equivalent to these pans. We'll see how well they hold up in the long run. If they last half as long as the heavy ones, I'll still come out ahead. There is one big difference between these pans and Caphalon. The bottom surface on the equivalent Anolon is much smaller. I measured the 12" as having 9.5"s across the bottom. The bottom flares up and out to the top rim where they are measured. You better take a close look at your current cooking habits because this could be a real problem. This seems to be true for the more expensive Anolon pans too. The Caphalon Contemporary line has a larger bottom surface and can go to 450 degrees in the oven. I've barely used the new pans so I'm starting off with three stars and will try to update later after heavier usage. A word to the wise. If you're going to cook meats or foods which need caramelizing add a 12" cast iron and a 12" stainless pan and you'll be covered for all situations. Update 8/1/13: Just starting to lose some non-stick on the 12". The 8" has had gentler use and is in excellent shape. They're on kitchen hooks and look great. In hindsight, this was a good purchase. There's way too much emphasis on the weight in these reviews ... they're pans not gold nuggets. I'm going to get four plus years out of this set. It's non-stick folks, it has many limitations. I don't see a good reason to pay such a premium for the top end non-stick pans. Update 6/25/14: Looks like the 12" has had it. Got the dreaded dark spots. The 10" is still in excellent shape because I only use it for eggs, but almost on a daily basis. Certainly got my money's worth.

Truly non stick
These pans are fabulous at anything ever sticking; eggs slide right out, and they're super easy to clean. Well-made and sturdy, they will hold up for a long time.

Important to know..
Anolon hard anodized brand is the best if not one of the best brand of non stick pans out there. I owned these pan for more than 10 years and the quality stays the same through the years. Some reviewers are complaining about food sticking to the pan. It doesn't mean non stick you will fry eggs without oil. You should still put little bit of oil everytime. When heating your pan, set your pan to medium or medium high heat, and put little bit of oil. It's different if you are using a stainless steel pan. I do handwash mine and never use a dishwasher to wash them. Also never use a stainless steel to stir whatever you're cooking or frying. Best of all, anolon has a lifetime warranty. If for any reason, the coating is peeling off you can return it back and they will replace it no question asked. Just take a picture of the damage, the bottom and a picture of the whole pan and send it to them through their website. It was that easy. If you follow the right guidelines on how to care for these pans, this pan will last you for a very long time.

Almost great!
I have several Anolon Advanced pans and skillets and like them all very much. There is nothing 'wrong' with this set, but the pans are NOT as heavy as some of the other pans. I was initially disappointed by that since I really like the hefty feel of my other Anolon Advanced pans. That's why I'm giving it a "Almost Great" rating. I will say that the pans do seem to work just as well as the others I have. And the quality seems just as good. I DO wish, however, that it had been noted in the product write up that these pans are not the same thickness/weight as the others. So, if you are picky about things like that as I am, then this is your warning. If you don't care about weight or thickness, then I'd say you will love these pans. Again, the quality is there, the nonstick works great, and they are wonderful to work with. For those new to Anolon Advanced, be warned that you absolutely can NOT use high temps on any of the pans. Preheat your pans to a medium setting first and you'll have the best results. These pans DO hold temperature really well and will get very hot, even on a medium setting. Enjoy!

This is my second set - won't use another brand
I first tried this set when my son was in high school. He's now several years post-grad and that first set lasted that long. To be honest, I think they would have lasted longer except for my husband's rough cleaning of them, and my son using them on too high of a setting when they were "young." Aside from durability, what I love about these pans are the value for the both of them, the even cooking area that they provide, and their relative lightness compared to other anodized pans. Another huge selling point for me is the comfortable handles. I've tried anodized cookware with plain stainless handles and do not like them one bit. The Anolon handles are coated, cool to the touch and quite comfortable. Just take care of them as instructed, and they will last you a good long time with good cooking results.

Love this line of Anolon
I have my Anolon pots and pans for nearly 15 years. In fact, I have only Anolon pans and pots (yes, love having a good looking set). I never use metal utensils on them and gently wash by hand only. Only recently I had to replace some of the pans that I use daily. (Thanks, Anolon, for still manufacturing this line!) . These specific pans are of the kind I use a lot. They are slightly more lightweight than their single-sold pans, but are still of decent weight, not flimsy light or anything. I like everything about them - heat distribution, durability, stability, the weight, the handle, the look. Just please, please Anolon, don't stop this line and don't change the colors! LOL

Very good
I have had Analon pots and pans in the past and these are no excepition. They are great, very durable and non stick. Plus this is a really good price. Even though they have a lifetime warranty they will not last forever. Maybe 3 years with heavy use but by then you should be ready for a new pan anyway. But I have a 3 year old Analon ultimate 12 inch that still works but it is not quite as non stick as when I frist got it. For instance with these you can crack an egg in them with no oil and slide the egg around by the handle and after 3 years my other pan needs a little oil help.

High quality/good for glass top range
These are the highest quality fry pans we have ever owned. We bought them specifically for use on our new glass top range and so far they are performing beautifully. Easy to clean and not as much concern about marring them as they are tough and can be used with metal spatula (something we will not do)

Great product, buy with confidence!
To be totally honest, these are the best frying pans in my 56 years. Amazing. Non stick remains true to this day, and that's never happened before! ๐

Truly a nonstick pan
This pan is probably the best (and admittedly most expensive) nonstick pan I have ever used. Even eggs and cheese slide off the pan. My only criticism is, as others have noted, the nonstick coating is very thin on the lip and already has a small chip in it. A minor issue. Time will tell on its durability.

Great value
We use these pans for a quick breakfast, the non stick surface makes clean up fast and the non stick doesnโt waste any food.
