The beige curtains are not blackout curtains by any stretch. In my humble opinion, blackout curtains should be effective without any further layer behind them. So I raised my mini-blinds halfway as a comparison point. As you can see from the pics, it's pretty obvious where the mini-blinds are - there is no blackout whatsoever! Also, what's missing from the product page/details is a view of the backside of the curtains, so I'm posting that as well. Normally you should see an additional fabric of some sort (usually white) that helps both block the light and increase the density of the curtain for blackout effectiveness. These curtains not only do not contain any additional fabric on the back but also do not provide any insulating benefits. Good luck finding beige blackout curtains that work for you from this product lineup.

I have to review these two years later because when I went to replace them (different decor colors) I could not find anything close to this quality! TRUE blackout (unlike some of the big brands claiming theirs are) and I don’t have my measuring tape on me but the width was much more generous than any big brand or anything I found in a store. They drape wonderfully, have stayed clean and new looking through FOUR moves with pets, and are just indestructible.Update! May 2020 - Have since bought several more sets. Still the best of the best.

Huge energy savings and reduced volatility in room temperature. No sunlight penetrated my apartment with huge windows that catches the sun directly for much of the day. This also helped normalize the air temperature in the apartment which could vary easily by in excess of 20 degrees in the course of a day even with climate control on due to the sensor location/layout of the rooms. However it is absolutely not enough to block the sounds of constant honking/engine revving/trucks/workers noise that ruined that apartment because it would constantly happen at all hours of the night/day. Installation of the curtain did have an immediate correlation with reduction of my energy bill by roughly $20 from what was quoted.Would like more clarity regarding non-toxic materials (if there are any in these)/chemical composition including the chemicals used in the manufacturing process. Would obviously drastically prefer provably/documented non-toxic materials.Also the item is somewhat awkwardly sized for that apartment at least. The overlap was limited so some light would slip through gaps invariably created by the force of wind if any windows were opened or even sometimes just people moving about in the apartment.

Very happy with these. I searched for weeks and read many reviews and finally went with these. Navy blue 120” length. Great color, great fabric, great length. The black out works pretty well. I have my curtains hung about a foot above the window but some light still escapes around the top and sides. My main reason for these was the light that would come in at night and these are perfect for that. Very happy with the purchase!

Color: NOT as pictured, I wanted to take off a star because of this but I am still very pleased with the curtains so I didn't. I ordered the beige but they are much darker and more of a tan or light brown color.These are actually a pleasant material, they are smooth but not shiny. They feel nice and they are easy to hang. They actually do a good job of blocking out light. We have plantation blinds over the windows and just these "beige" curtains over that and the room stays fairly dark. Not so dark that you need a flashlight but dark enough for sleeping or napping. Some other reviewers said they were longer than the package says but this was not true with the pair I ordered in the 74 inch pair I ordered. I wish they had more colors because I'd like to order a set for my daughter's room, too! i would recommend these to everyone, but take into account that the pictured color will likely not be exact.

Wow, they're not joking when they say these curtains provide insulation and light blocking, both of which are exactly what I need in my bedroom. I put these curtains up as soon as I got them and they really do block out about 99% of the light and they also dampen sound a fair amount, which is a great bonus. I suffer from chronic migraine and when I have one, much light at all causes excruciating pain and nausea and though these curtains may not be pretty, they do the job for which they are intended exceptionally well.Note to folks looking to use these curtains for decorative purposes as well as light blocking and insulation: the fabric is somewhat shiny and slick looking, but it feels like it would snag very easily and the inner material feels sort of spongy, a bit like neoprene. I would recommend finding a decorative outer curtain to go with these if you're concerned with the way your window treatments look, but you really can't beat these for light blocking.

I ordered 3 sets before I found these... ❤️ Soft to the touch, color is true as described and they hang nicely. This drape has enough weight to it that it doesn’t move every time someone opens my door. Very good blackout effect too. I did have to order 4 sets to cover my massive windows to get the coverage I need without them being flat when closed. (Only shows 2 sets in pics) But otherwise no complaints on this order. And surprise, it comes with tie backs. And they set a nice backdrop to my cowhide chairs.

These are quite thick, nearly wrinkle free, and do the job for a nice price. We are using them to insulate our drafty window in our bedroom. I’m surprised by how well they work. I don’t love the color, but I do love the function of this curtain. It’s like a thick polyester from the 70’s.
