Got the old Mini DV tapes to my PC with the help of this power cord. Obviously the batteries don't work anymore. Worked great with the Canon Optura 20.

This was connected to a Canon HV10 and HV30 and works fine. The wire used is thinner gauge than the original Canon OEM charger but for the good price on this, I am not complaining.

I paid $55.00 for this item. When it arrived, it was very much lighter in weight than the original, indicating cheaper components. When it turned out to be defective, my thought was, "cheap Chinese products!" This makes China and her products look very bad--gives them a poor reputation; a lot like Japan had decades ago when "made in Japan" meant a shoddy, poor product. They have since changed so that now, "made in Japan" indicates good, reliable products. China needs to follow their good example!
