Amazing!
I bought this thermostat because I needed one that would work with a 2 stage heat pump and my local HVAC contractor was too stupid to realize the one he installed didn't support 2 stage AC.With this thermostat installed my kilowatt hours have dropped 10% or better compared to last year and the house feels great.FYI, it controls my Trane XL1600 PERFECTLY.

Good Product
Nice thermostatic works great. The only downfall is wiring diagram. If you are replacing an older unit with this one forget about tiring to replace it using the color codes. The AC color codes are easy but wiring the heating part I needed to speak with a professional to place the wires in the right ports. Nice and bright LED screen, easy to use.

Changes set temperature by itself, making it effectively useless.
Update: argued for a replacement, received a slightly different model that looks identical and behaves so as well. I thought this was everything I needed. Key was the auto changeover ability - switching from heat to A/C as needed. But this thing, regardless of whether it's running a scheduled program, or set at a temperature and on "hold", will change the set temperature at will, up to several degrees. What's the point of a digital thermostat, if it simply will not obey your settings? I've actually seen it change by itself.I tried to call the "manufacturer", White Rodgers (the manufacturer sticker inside), but they disavowed that it's their making, telling me to seek Emerson's help. I've yet to reach anyone there to help. The return policy is long expired now at Amazon. Maybe I'll try and find an alternative while I sort out this mess. I left 2 stars since if it's actually just a buggy unit, the other features are outstanding and it should be one of the best thermostats available. I did finally talk to someone as Emerson who had me do a factory reset procedure, no help.
