The PS5 (BEST console EVER?)
The PlayStation 5 is absolutely SUPERB in ALL aspects of gaming. it is a Worthy successor to the phenomenal PS4/PS4 pro console in EVERY single way! the first thing you will notice right off the bat is how FAST the console is, from the user interface to playing games waiting is a thing of the past! the PS5 is the fastest games console I've EVER experienced, it even outperforms my buddies PC setup with his SSD which REALLY took me by surprise! The biggest downfall to the PS5 is the storage situation, with 825GB SSD (only 667GB is usable) Modern Warfare & Warzone alone account for almost 200GB. As of April 2021 you can now store & play ALL PS4 games from an external drive which is awesome! you can now store PS5 games on the external drive as well but you can NOT play PS5 games that are stored in the external drive you would have to transfer it back to the PS5 SSD in order to play PS5 games. Speaking of games, the PS5 doesn't disappoint when it comes to games! let me start by saying every PS4 games I've played loads faster & performs BETTER than the PS4 pro did. When it comes to PS5 games they're simply amazing! The Dual Sense controller is the MOST innovative feature rich controller I've EVER used! the haptics are brilliantly implemented & the adaptive triggers make games feel like every squeeze of the trigger matters. My PS5 games library consists of Astro's Playroom (the BEST pack in game since Wii sports) Black ops cold war, Mile Morales, Fortnite, Rogue Company & Genshin impact. Astro's Playroom is a fantastic platform that acts as a showcase for the new Dual Sense controller providing a fun game that shows exactly how amazing the controller truly is! Black ops cold war is decent, the load times are great but it's not next level when it comes to gameplay. Miles Morales on the other hand is next level, it's absolutely gorgeous running at 4K 60fps! it offers superb gameplay that's breathtaking showing a glimpse of what's possible on PS5! Fortnite is another game that's REALLY blown me away with it's PS5 upgrade! the game not ONLY loads so much faster compared to PS4 pro but it looks phenomenal in 4K at 60fps plus it's got improved textures & lighting & it's insane how much BETTER it is compared to the PS4 pro version! Rogue Company recently released their PS5 upgrade & it runs at a native 4K 60fps making for another beautiful free to play shooter on the PS5. Genshin impact is another amazing game that has gotten even BETTER with it's PS5 upgrade. load times are almost non existent & it's stunningly gorgeous! Final thoughts after 1 month: The PS5 has dethroned my PS4 pro as the BEST games console of ALL time imo! it plays my massive PS4 library with upgraded performance. It offers truly superb next level speed with it's SSD & the upgraded CPU / GPU along with 16GB of GDDR6 RAM make for an extremely powerful games console capable of games that we can't even fathom at the moment! I can't wait to see what the future holds for the PS5! I definitely recommend this console for anyone wanting the best playstation console ever made. PlayStation 5 Console: Gaming's Next-Gen Marvel
The PlayStation 5 Console represents the pinnacle of gaming technology, delivering an unparalleled gaming experience that sets a new standard for the industry. Sony has truly outdone itself with this next-generation marvel. One of the standout features of the PS5 is its remarkable processing power. Equipped with a custom-designed AMD processor and an ultra-fast SSD, it not only delivers breathtaking graphics but also eliminates loading times. Games load in a flash, and you're transported into immersive worlds without a moment's delay. The graphics capabilities of the PS5 are nothing short of breathtaking. With ray tracing, 4K resolution, and HDR support, every frame is a visual masterpiece. Whether you're exploring the richly detailed environments of open-world adventures or experiencing the intensity of action-packed shooters, the PS5's graphics elevate gaming to an art form. The DualSense Wireless Controller is a game-changer in itself. Its haptic feedback and adaptive triggers provide a level of immersion that was previously unimaginable. You can feel the tension of a drawn bowstring or the rumble of a roaring engine, adding a new dimension to gameplay. Backward compatibility is another strong suit of the PS5. You can revisit your favorite PS4 titles and experience them with improved performance and load times. Plus, the PS5's vast library of games, including exclusives like Demon's Souls and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, offers something for every gamer. The PS5 also boasts a sleek and futuristic design that looks right at home in any entertainment setup. It's not just a console; it's a statement piece. One of the only downsides, if you can call it that, is its initial scarcity, which made it a bit challenging to get your hands on one. However, as production ramps up, this issue is likely to subside. In summary, the PlayStation 5 Console is a true gaming powerhouse that raises the bar for the entire industry. Its stunning graphics, lightning-fast load times, immersive controller, and impressive game library make it a must-have for any serious gamer. If you're looking to experience gaming at its finest, the PS5 is the way to go.

A True Next-Gen Experience
I got the PlayStation 5 on Launch Day in November 2020. The quality of the games and their performance has really improved and been maximized! Going into this new generation has really opened my eyes to how gaming can keep improving. I had initially thought that there was no way for game visuals and scope to improve and get better beyond the PS4 generation. When trying out remasters of the last-generation games, you will immediately notice that nearly every game has a 60FPS (Frames Per Second) Mode. When swinging around in Spiderman or brawling in God of War, the performance really makes the games feel fresh and so much better. They not only look better but also feel and move better. It is like you're playing on a Beast-Computer. You will notice that the games are not really making as many compromises in their overall scope and vision. The DualSense Controller has been one of the most innovative factors for me personally. Game controllers have had vibration and haptic feedback rumble before this console, but this new controller really changes the games. You actually feel moments and elements that were originally meant to only be visual through the game. When driving a car in Gran Turismo 7, you feel the weight of the car in the controller. You feel the the road at the bottom half of the controller and whether it is rainy or not will impact that feel. In a Military Action Video Game, you feel each weapon differently and can even feel spinning helicopter blades within the controller moving! A game involving Archery will have a certain expected tension in the triggers like a real-life bow/arrow. The Dualsense controller connects you to the game and really feels next-generation. You have the option to turn off the haptics but it is very cool! Going back to the performance of the new console, it really is super-fast! It comes with an impressive Solid State Drive for storing your games internally and loading a game literally takes one or two seconds. Waiting for a few minutes is a thing of the past! The UI and overall experience really feels new and works fast and great. Some have been skeptical about this next-generation but this is one where not only the visuals of games improve but also their actual realistic feel in your hands. The PlayStation 5 is fun! The Lineup is really amazing and everything looks and plays in a great standard of quality.

The Real Next Gen Console
Why Should you buy a PS5? If you don't have a PC, this is a must buy and delivers the best price for graphics. If you have a PC, buy a PS5 for the amazing exclusives that Sony will surely deliver, and to play the older gen titles such as GoW, HZD, Bloodbourne etc etc in 4k 60fps. Additionally the controller's dual sense technology is simply amazing and something that has HUGE potential if utilized properly. What are some things you will love about the PS5? Extremely easy to transfer your PS4 games to PS5. You can directly connect PS4 external storage and the games will work. You can also connect both PS4 and PS5 over WiFi+Ethernet cable and have all the games transferred within the hour. Download speeds are much much much better. Huge difference in the responsive of the controller. It just works better than the DS4 on PS4 games. The haptic feedback and triggers are absolutely absolutely crazy. A lot has already been said but some examples are: The controller will provide feedback so it will feel like you are in water when walking in water, when are walking on a glass surface or on a metal surface etc etc. Another example is in Astrobot, when you are "carrying" many bouncy balls and you could feel the bouncy balls rolling inside the controller. There is just no way to explain it in words. You have to experience it. The controller's built in mic is REALLY good and has excellent noise cancellation. PS Plus Collection is a great add on to get started and gives you around 20 "old-gen" games FOR FREE. What are some things you wont like about the PS5? The size. Very few "next-gen" games available at launch. The UI and menu while its pretty fast and responsive lacks features. Powering down, changing sound output, finding games requires several button presses and can feel like a hassle compared to PS4's "quick menu".

Good stuff
I gotta say, I wouldn't have got to order a PS5 on release day if it weren't for the snappy notification I got and 1 tap buying of Amazon being so swift. Walmart couldn't handle the traffic, but Amazon took it like a champ... But I digress, I'm here to talk about the PS5. The set up of the stand they give you is a little awkward to figure out, but it was an easy install. Other than that, it's as simple to set up as a PS4 was. Plug in the power and the HDMI cords, start up. It took me about 3 hours to update/transfer my system stuff. My one complaint on the PS5 homescreen stuff is that there currently isn't backgrounds/themes to select through, but whatever game/app/media you're highlighting will mostly be the background... So it's currently not a huge gripe. I'm sure there will be options in a future update. Now, how does it feel and play? For the most part... Good. I recommend the system's playhouse game to get you familiar with the many possible perks of the controller(s). As one big plus is that each controller has a mic right in them. At the moment I only have Bugsnax installed as a PS5 game, so I can't much comment on how their exclusive games are. (Bugsnax ia super childish, so it's not my cup of tea.) But I can confirm there are still are loading screens for PS4 games, but it feels MUCH less laggy with a PS5. I can't guarantee that you won't ever disconnect with it, but it seems to play online smoothly... Except games like EA's Starwars Battlefront 2, that game's still a laggy mess for me. It comes with about 800g memory free space when booted up, but I plugged in my 2T storage data I had for the PS4 and it didn't struggle to recognize what's on it after the data tranfer process. There's also 2 USB ports in thw back, which tells me if I run low on data for my 2T storage I have a second port for double the data right away... I'll look into that later. The only bug I've heard about the system is if you leave it in rest mode it may freeze or something, but Sony is aware of the issue and os already working on fixing it in a future update. So even with the tiny issues I discussed that's probably going to be resolved in future updates, I'm giving the PS5 a 5 star rating. I don't regret owning one. Good work, Sony! And good work Amazon! The delivery went smoothly as well.

A Premium Console Experience that is Powerful, but that is just beginning to scratch its Potential
[Initial ThoughtsโPlease stay tuned as I plan to add to this as I go] Opening the Box: Unboxing the PS5 reminded me of my first experience with Apple products years and years ago. And if you are not an Apple fan, you might not realize, how, back in the dark ages, tech was haphazardly packaged or that everyone else largely does it the โApple wayโ nowadays. Needless to say, my experience was refined, not clunky, with the layout making sense, and very little wasted space. The Beast inside: The PS5 itself, is, well, massive. It dwarfs the PS4 Pro, and hell, even the new options from Microsoft. The styling of this hunk of plastic and metal is equally in your face. There is no two ways about it, some will love it, others will hate it and pray for a refined โslim versionโ to come sooner than later. I am more the former than the latter as I enjoy something a bit futuristic when it comes to my console experience. In other words, I like that it looks like a vase, even if it has become the ridicule of many who make many phallic jokes about it. That said, the disc drive version, which I have is a bit awkward at the base as it is a bit more โgirthyโ (Yeah, I know, I know.) than the digital edition. Setup: Setup experience is, well, exceptional. Ladies and gentlemen, I have been gaming a long a** time. My first console was an Atari 2600 and man, oh man, have we come a long way from that thing. It is, and I will borrow the old catch phrase from Apple-land, โit just worksโ. Transferring of games and save information over your router in between your two consoles is rather seamless but depending on how much you are shipping from your PS4 to your PS5, it might take a bit. I had heard that there was a way to directly connect the two, however, I did not do so. *That said, COD: MW (2019) gave me a bit of trouble because of the sheer size, which led me to popping in the install disc to help speed it along. Noise level of the PS5: The PS5 is rather quiet, the loudest part, and it really is not that loud, per se, is the disc drive. And, if you owned a PS4 or PS4 Pro, you would appreciate the fact that the 4k blu ray drive in this does not sound like you are opening and closing a 55โ Chevy Truck door. It loads quietly, largely runs quietly, and ejects, quietly. But what about the fan? You can hear the fan's "whirring" sound if you get up close to it. Apparently, Sony has the ability to send out firmware updates that can change how the sound works. For you tin foil hat wearing folks, be ware, BIG BROTHER is watching you....and your PS5 fan. The UI: The UI, as much as the DualSense, is pretty much the talk of the town, right? But, it is a bit disorienting until you start to learn it. That said, as for speed and ease of navigation, I give the overall feel of it, a solid 8/10. Why not a perfect score, well, because nothing is perfect and I feel as if it almost a mix of the Switchโs UI and the PS4 and while I think it looks great, runs great, but I am not sure I fully love it, yet. For instance, some functions, feel buried, but they are not really, it is just how you access them that has changed, which means, you and I have to change. Do note, I am not saying this is for the better, I am saying this is how it is. Storage: The Elephant in the room. Storage. Storage is limited. There is really no other way to say it. For instance, after installing Fall Guys, COD: Modern Warfare (2019) and keeping Astro's Playroom installed, I had roughly 300gbs of space left. Now, not everyone happens to like having a catalog of games on their drive, which is fine. But many do. And with Sony releasing a digital edition, one would think that they would, custom drive not withstanding, given a bit more. Further, Sony does not have or has not yet released a list of drives that can populate the extra M.2 port that can take advantage of PS5s incredibly speedy architecture. This problem is further compounded because currently, you cannot offload games onto a USB attached storage drive. The Controller: The DualSense, without any game play, feels nice and hefty. Though, I will note the D-Pad feels a bit โsquishyโ to me. When playing games with it, it feels good. I have average hands, maybe a tad small (HEY! They are mighty hands, you leave me be!) and I did not experience any discomfort. In games where the DualSense is programed for, you will feel things differently as you play. It really is a step forward in that regards. In games, however, that are not setup for it, you essentially get the feel of rumble, all day, everyday. However, I encourage you to play Astro's playroom or Spiderman MM to get a good feel of its potential. The Games: At launch, Sony has a slight advantage with games--but not with subscription service. Whether they are all new, Demon's Souls, for instance, is another issue. As for playing games, I tried a couple of "older" titles, "Fall Guys" and "COD: Modern Warfare (2019)"--most notalby, Warzone. Both displayed improved load times, especially for the latter title. MW had a graphical and textural pack applied to it and while it helped some, I did not feel it made that much of a difference on the newer system as compared to when I played it on my old PS4 Pro. Indeed, it looked a bit more washed out, but consider, I had switched over from "Fall Guys", which is a cornucopia of colors that vary the spectrum or simply, it is like playing a game inside a bag of Skittles. You get my point. But where this thing shines, frankly, and everyone has told you this-- and they ain't lyin' brosephus and sistersephus-- is with games built for it. On the PS5 the best examples of this are going to be "Demon's Souls" and "Spiderman: Miles Morales" and "Astro's Playroom". As of this update, I have played all three and can say confidently you will not be disappointed.

The Console That Made Me Want to Play More Games Again
As someone who spends a lot of time around technology, gaming PCs, content creation equipment, and high-end electronics, it takes quite a bit to genuinely impress me. The PlayStation 5 ended up being one of those products that immediately felt like a significant upgrade from previous generations. The setup process was quick and straightforward. Within a short time of unboxing, I was downloading games and exploring the interface. Everything feels polished and easy to navigate, which helps you spend less time configuring settings and more time actually playing. The first thing I noticed was the speed. Games launch quickly, updates install efficiently, and loading screens are dramatically shorter than what I was used to on older consoles. Fast travel in larger games feels nearly instant in some cases, which makes the entire experience more immersive because youโre spending less time waiting. The visual quality is outstanding on a 4K display. Games look incredibly detailed, environments feel more alive, and lighting effects add a level of realism thatโs hard to appreciate until you see it in person. Whether exploring massive open worlds, racing, or playing action titles, the graphics consistently look impressive. What surprised me most, however, was the controller. The adaptive triggers and haptic feedback arenโt just marketing features. They genuinely add another layer of immersion. Different vehicles, weapons, terrain types, and environmental effects all feel distinct through the controller. Itโs one of those features that sounds minor until you experience it firsthand. Audio is another area where the system excels. Using a headset, I found it much easier to pinpoint sounds and environmental details in games. Whether hearing footsteps behind me, rainfall in a forest, or vehicles approaching from a distance, the audio helps create a more immersive experience. As someone who enjoys gaming after long workdays, I appreciate how simple everything feels. The system wakes quickly, resumes games efficiently, and generally stays out of the way so I can focus on enjoying the experience rather than managing hardware or software issues. The console has also become more than just a gaming device in our house. Itโs regularly used for streaming movies, shows, sports, and other entertainment, making it a central part of the living room setup. Compatibility with accessories and peripherals has been excellent. Headsets, charging accessories, and other gaming equipment connected without any headaches, and online account synchronization was straightforward. After months of use, what stands out most is how refined the entire experience feels. The combination of fast performance, stunning visuals, immersive audio, and the unique controller features creates a gaming experience that feels genuinely next generation. Itโs one of those products that reminds you why you enjoy gaming in the first place and makes it easy to lose track of time once you start playing.

One of the best consoles (if you can find one)
The ps5, so many people are unable to acquire. I myself tried to get one at 30 or so drops. And I never thought I would get one from Amazon. But one night of being up at 1:00 a.m. later, I have one. This console is a great improvement over the PS4 platform. The PS4 that I own is a first-generation, the destiny limited edition one. And this console blows it out of the water, the graphics, the speed and the overall polish to the console, four months after launch, are overall fantastic. I will say it is quite large but I'd rather have quite large and good cooling than small and overheating. It's also super quiet the fan only kicks in every once in awhile It's not very loud. But the biggest showstopper is the controller, the haptic feedback on these controllers makes it feel like you could feel raindrops on any portion of it, the adaptive triggers can make it feel so stiff it feels you're going to break it. Every person I have brought over to my apartment to play it, even if they're not PlayStation fans say the controller might be enough to turn them over and have them buy one. And as someone who has always been a PlayStation gamer, and I slowly transition to a PC gamer I can't say I regret the decision to buy one. Is it overall fantastic addition to my collection of PlayStation. And I can't wait to continue playing destiny 2 on it. I will update this in the future if any adverse things start happening, but until then fantastic console if you can find one (non-scalper) and I would highly recommend it.
