Fast, Reliable, and Budget-Friendly Upgrade
Fast, Reliable, and Budget-Friendly Upgrade I installed the TEAMGROUP AX2 2TB SATA SSD into an older desktop that had been running sluggishly on a mechanical hard drive, and the difference has been night and day. Windows boots in seconds, applications open instantly, and large file transfers now feel smooth and snappy. Even though this is a SATA drive and not NVMe, the 540 MB/s read speed is more than enough to breathe new life into older systems. What I like most is the balance of price and performance. For 2TB of solid-state storage, the AX2 is very cost-effective compared to bigger-name brands, yet it hasn’t compromised on reliability so far. Installation was straightforward—standard 2.5-inch size, easy to fit into a laptop or desktop with the right brackets or slots. A couple of things to keep in mind: this isn’t meant to compete with high-end NVMe drives in raw speed, so if you’re doing heavy 4K video editing or massive database work, you’ll want something faster. Also, while TEAMGROUP provides software tools for monitoring health and firmware updates, it’s a simpler package overall without a lot of extras. For everyday computing, gaming, and media storage, it’s been excellent. No hiccups, no overheating, and very quiet operation. Bottom line: The TEAMGROUP AX2 2TB SSD is a great upgrade for anyone wanting a large, dependable, and affordable SSD to replace an HDD or expand storage without breaking the bank.

Great product, great support
Product performs as advertised. It reads really fast and response very quickly. On top of the product itself, I want to give TeamGroup a big shoutout for delivering a great product and excellent customer service. My drive, which I purchased three years ago, failed just before the warranty expired. Given how much SSD prices have increased recently, I was not very hopeful about receiving a replacement. Still, I contacted their RMA team, explained the issue, and provided screenshots from my diagnostic tests. They responded promptly and issued an RMA number without delay. Although I had to pay for return shipping, it was well worth it considering the current cost of a 2TB SSD. The replacement process did take a bit of time, but after a follow-up, they sent out a replacement unit. When I encountered some technical issues while getting the replacement up and running, their support team again responded professionally and provided helpful guidance that resolved everything. Based on this experience, I would absolutely recommend TeamGroup products, especially because their support team truly stands behind them.

Amazing value, good performance for a SATA III SSD. Very large writes are slow – as expected.
I bought this 2tb SATA III internal SSD for $72. Amazing value. I was a little worried that the performance would be poor but I am getting sustained writes just below 500MB/s and sustained reads just over 500MB/s. Very, very large writes eventually slow down but I was able to get decent speeds even when writing 500gb consisting of several hundred thousand of files for a big backup task – took about 30 minutes or an average of half the smaller sustained write speed which isn't spectacular but perfectly fine. And completely expected. Reads never slow down, it's only writes that eventually get slower. In normal operation where you are writing only small amounts to the drive at any one time even if you're reading very large amounts, you will never see the speeds drop below about 500MB/s. This is a great archive, backup, and general storage drive. It can't compete with really fast modern SSDs with faster interfaces but the performance is right in line with other inexpensive SSDs using a SATA III interface. Most of those other inexpensive SSDs are more expensive than this one, sometimes a lot more expensive. I have it in a USB 3 gen1 enclosure and I can boot my computer with it just fine. It's certainly not the best boot drive but you'd pay quite a bit more for a better boot drive let alone a "best" one. Just got it today so I can't speak about longevity. The TBW specified by the manufacturer for the 2tb version which I got is pretty good. I don't plan to ever fill it up more than just a bit past halfway and it's for incremental backups so after today the writes will be pretty small and therefore I expect it will last me for as long as I care to keep it in service.

Affordable and Reliable SSD Upgrade
I recently purchased the TEAMGROUP AX2 512GB 2-Pack to upgrade two older PCs, and I'm quite satisfied with the results. Pros: Easy Installation: The drives were straightforward to install. I had them up and running in about 10 minutes. Amazon Performance Boost: Both PCs now boot up quickly, and applications load faster than before. Amazon Value for Money: For the price, getting two 512GB SSDs is a great deal. Cons: Not the Fastest: While there's a noticeable improvement over HDDs, these aren't the fastest SSDs available. Amazon Long-Term Reliability: I've only been using them for a few weeks, so I can't speak to their longevity yet. Overall, this SSD 2-pack is a solid choice if you're looking to breathe new life into older systems without breaking the bank.

Didn’t last long before dying - UPDATE
Update - I went through the process of getting Teamgroup to replace the drive after my original died. The process took several weeks and the return process isn't easy, but they did replace it. I built my ESXi server with it and haven't had issues since. So if you get a good one, it works as advertised. Started out working great in my desktop, but then began to give me errors. Tried to use it as a backup drive and it would randomly fail to connect. Finally would not initialize in Windows. The errors it was generating confirmed the drive died. Don’t buy this.

Great value! Perfect for gaming!
I wanted to wait a while to give this review as prolonged use would be the best way to test it. With that said, it's been a few months now and so far it has been great! My read and write speeds are fast and about what you would expect from any typical SSD. I moved all my games from my HDD to this new SSD and have noticed significantly faster loading times, and no stutter or lag whatsoever. I also bought an external case to use this in and can plug into my laptop. It fit snuggly in the case and works well for what I need it for, which is mostly as quick load storage for my Steam games. It runs silently and operating temps are maybe only a couple of degrees higher than my room temp. For the price, this is absolutely worth it! The performance/storage to value makes it an easy choice.

Good Secondary drive
I bought this to use as a secondary drive for some more space as the NVMe drive on my gaming laptop runs Windows and is only 258gb. So I can't tell you how well it boots or runs windows. I won't post any CrystalDiskMark scores because what we really want is real world usage and nobody really gets those scores. Easy to install other than a few broken fingernails getting the back of the laptop off. Cmos disk error on reboot because I disconnected the battery during install but Windows fixed on reboot. Used the disk manager to initialize and allocate to drive D. I'm posting some screenshots. C is my Windows Hynix NMMe drive. D is the Teamgroup AX 512gb SSD drive and E is my microSD card. Copying 160gb from my SD card to the Teamgroup drive took about 40 minutes. Not bad considering it was coming from a flash that doesn't read so fast. The Desktop (C) to Data were a windows 10 and 11 ISO files. The D to New folder is an example copying a file from D to D, in which it has to read and write at the same time. So there is some examples of real-world use. Speeds will vary depending on if you're copying from another drive, flash drive or within the drive as you can see. Fastest speed I saw was 450 mbps. Overall, I'm more than happy with it. Considering I was getting write times in the 20s and 30s on my SD card this is super-fast. Would I have gotten faster speeds if I had bought a WD, Crucial or Samsung? Maybe. But not enough to justify the extra money. As far as longevity is concerned, let's just say that I've never had a drive fail on me since I began using computers in the 90s. So take this for whatever it's worth. Good deal at $28.

Very Good Performance For The Price
Got this for my girlfriends PC to replace the Pre-Built Kingfast SSD which chugged away for 10 minutes to even load the OS. The change in speeds is dramatic. This thing loads windows within a few seconds and has great performance overall.
